"Noo Ash"
"Yess Bow, you will"

"there is no way I'm joining a gym. I do not want to embarrass myself, just look at me. What if I fall face first while I'm on the trendmill"
Ash rolls her eyes
"honey haven't you heard the saying that when you exercise you feel good? Trust me on this, and what is wrong with you Bow ? All I see is a beautiful lady the only problem is, you have low self esteem and we are going to work on that. We also need to feel that book of yours with kisses and the gym has the hottest guys ever okay. I will help you sign in"

We have been going back and forth over this for the past hour. I just do not want to make a fool of myself.
I cannot exactly wear my baggy clothes at the gym to hide my body now can I.
People I do not even know will be staring at me.
Judging me even, making snide comments and I honestly cannot deal that.

I made the mistake of telling Ash that I do not like how I look, I told her I do not find myself attractive.
Her answer was to do something about it.
I mean I know that's all it takes most of the time.

"Rainbow Johnson Black, I am talking to you"

"my middle name is not Johnson" I Say as a matter fact.

"I know, but you kind of have to admit it, it adds more zeal to your name and I needed the middle name to add a more dramatic effect"

"Yeah sure"

"So back to the matter at hand, tomorrow morning we are going to that gym umm what is called again, oh yeah Feel Good Gym. I am going to sign up with you okay, I promise."
"why exactly are you signing up, look at you? You have the perfect figure."

"Rain, people do not only go to the gym to lose mass only you know. Some go there to get more masculine, some go there to pick up chicks, some go there to get more active like me. I'm lazy okay, so maybe working out will help me be more active and look forward to waking up and doing something useful okay"

There is no way I am getting out of this so I might as well agree.

Ashley keeps looking at me from time to time and I know she wants to say something.

"I know I'm beautiful and all but can you stop stealing glances at me.
Okay on the real now can you just say it already, I know you want to say something so you might as well come out with it"

"Umm, well I just want to know why you think you are not attractive Rainbow. What you said earlier really bothered me. You have know idea how beautiful you look. I just feel being friends with Samantha has really damaged your self-confidence Rain." she says.

" Ash, I know I'm not attractive, look at Jace, he was with me to win a stupid bet. I never see anyone lining up to sit next to me in class. I do not even have that many friends on social media. What does that tell you? Huh?"

" Well that tells me that you do not put yourself out there. If people got to know you like I have I'm sure they would be lining up to sit next to you Rain, we just have to work on your confidence. Trust me the gym is the first place to start. Mind you we are not going to the gym so you lose mass or anything okay, we are just getting ourselves healthy and build your stamina because you Rainbow are beautiful just the way you are. It will definitely help with your confidence too I'm sure of it. We should go shopping too, so we can find clothes that actually fit you. You need to stop wearing clothes that are 2 sizes bigger okay. "
Ash can talk, she never stops talking honestly. But I would take that over anything. She has been an angel ever since this whole ordeal with Sam and her jerktourage.

" I have a question for you too? And just so you know I'm not trying to change the subject or anything. I hope you and Toni are okay. I mean she is your cousin and now you are hanging out with someone they hate."
I do not want to be the reason that her and her cousin are not in speaking terms.

" Oh do not worry about it Rain, Toni and I have an understanding."

"Do I even want to know what you mean by that?" I ask.

"I doubt, so moving on" Ashley smiles after saying that.

"Oh I should get home it's getting late already. Be ready by 7am tomorrow morning okay. And wear running shoes, and something comfortable not jeans though and pack a towel also. We start our training tomorrow love"

Before I can even reply she rushes out of my bedroom.
Ashley is a ball of energy honestly.

Well since it's thursday I should start preparing for the weekly date I have with my dad.
He said we are going to this other new fancy French restaurant called Belle nourriture
I do not even know what to wear. I should have asked for Ashley's opinion before she left.
Well I will just go with black sandles and my favorite purple dress.

After showering I unbraid my hair, detangle it and straighten it.Thank God I was not too lazy to braid it yesterday evening. I put it into a puffy bun. Then I put on earrings and a watch.
I wear the dress and then I look at myself in the mirror. I guess I see what Ashley was talking about. I wear clothes that are too baggy. They make me look older than I actually am. The dress is a knee length dress, I do not remember the last time I wore something that was a bit revealing. Maybe when I was 11 years old I think.

Just when I am about to put on my shoes my phone rings.

I do not even look at the caller ID before I answer.

Rainbow:Hello

Caller:Hie Rainbow, this is Nikki

Rainbow:umm hie Nikki, how did you get my number

Nikki:oh your dad gave it to me.
So your dad is running late, he asked me to call you and tell you that he will be a bit late.
Rainbow: Why isn't he the one telling me this?
Nikki:Well I was talking to him just now and his phone died.

Rainbow:I'm sure he is on his way home now Nikki , don't worry about it

Nikki:well I just wanted to pass the message on, his phone died so you won't be able to get a hold of him.
Rainbow:Where is he exactly?

Nikki: I do not know exactly.

Rainbow:Okay thank you

I can't help but be a bit disappointed. This is the first time my dad and I will not be spending Thursday late afternoon together.
Every Thursday at 6pm we just hangout either watching a movie marathon, going out for food or something. Well Unless he has to be out of town.

But then what if my dad is blowing me off to spend more time with Nikki?Noo, my dad wouldn't, would he?. Noo he wouldn't. This is my dad we are talking about he would never. Not in a million years.
I guess I should go make a sandwich or something for dinner.
Khalil is usually not home on Thursdays.
He goes to his friend's house most Thursday nights.

After eating I check my email to see if any of my lecturers has sent an assignment or something.
These lecturers are something else, they can just send an assignment without informing us about it during the lesson so you have to check your emails often.

Well luckily there is nothing this time around. I do not even have anything to do so I might as well watch the big bang theory sitcom again.
