«Makoto Naegi's perspective»

At 8:00 am, Ishimaru raps on my door, calling for me to get up. Rubbing my eyes, I go to the door and open it up, being greeted by the garish colours of the hallway. Not a nightmare then.
"Leon. Leon?" Ishimaru pounds on the door, his comically large eyebrows knitted together.
Sayaka walks to stand beside me, yawning. "What's going on with Leon?" She asks sleepily.
"I don't know..." I begin, but trail off. Something is seeping through the crack in the door, a big seeping puddle of...
Blood.
"Oh my God!" Shrieks Sayaka, reeling backwards.
"Leon! Leon are you alive?" Yells Ishimaru, throwing open the door.
In slow motion, Leon's body slumps forward into the corridor, eyes glassy, mouth dribbling a trickle of blue blood. His neck is twisted horribly, and his arms are weak and useless.
My breath comes in fast spurts. Behind me, Toko has fainted, and Ishimaru looks like he might too.
"I knew it wouldn't be long before someone cracked." Laughs Byakuya, striding forward.
"You can't say that!" Yells Aoi. Her face is flushed, and tears stream from her eyes. I never thought she liked Leon, but she looks almost hysterical.  "He's dead! Have some respect!"
Byakuya smirks as she sprints away, sobbing.
"Killed at 1:00 am after someone broke his neck." Kyoko reads. She has her Monokuma file open, and is crouching by the body, unaffected by the pools of aquamarine blood streaming the floor. "They must have been strong."
She goes to enter the room.
"Where are you going?" Asks Sayaka.
Kyoko looks straight at me with her stunning lavender eyes.
"To investigate."
