Being forward is the best approach, I decide.
" Did you kill Byakuya?" I ask.
She laughs crazily, tears spitting out of her eyes like rockets.
"No way! Toko would KILL me if I did! I'f that's possible."
"Then why was he killed just like you kill your victims?" Celeste retorts.
Genocider Syo turns from ecstatic to furious in an instant. "A copycat killer! I'll kill them myself she yells." She sees everyone's terrified expressions. "Just kidding! I always pin my victims up with scissors and kill them that way! Byakuya was killed by blunt force trauma."
"Ok, then we can rule out Syo... " Makoto stammers "but that means it's still probably a girl. So that means Chihiro, Celeste, Aoi, Junko... Sayaka or Kirigiri"
"He was killed in the hallway then." Sayaka pipes up.
"No. We're missing something important." I mutter. I strain my mind. The girl threw him in the bathroom to throw away suspicion, but where was he killed?
"Wait." Junko yelps. "I found a blood splatter in the girls bathroom- and it was really wet in there. What if he was killed in there?"
Why hadn't she mentioned this before? I rarely lose my temper, but I was close now.
"But boys can't go in there..." the realisation hits us all at the same time.
"Byakuya is... a girl..."
"I did it!" We all twist round. " I killed Byakuya Togami!" Chihiro sobs, tears pouring down her face.
Then the elevator door creaks open.
"I'm not dead."
