Ginny stayed up all night thinking about Harry, she hadn't thought about Harry as a romantic partner in years. Hermione had told her to take interest in other boys and had also said to relax around Harry and maybe then Harry would take interest in her.

Ginny hadn't felt like this for anyone in years, of course she was no longer that shy girl that he once knew, she was now a girl with a fiery temper and nice personality.

Ginny and Harry had been hanging out a lot since her and Dean broke up.

The two would talk about quidditch and crack jokes that Hermione wouldn't understand.

Ron and Hermione still weren't talking to one another since Ron started dating Lavender, Hermione was extremely jealous of his relationship and very heartbroken so she spent a lot of her time hanging out with Ginny and Luna and she would only hang out with Harry at night time cause she just couldn't stomach seeing Ron with Lavender.

Ginny was a great comfort to Hermione and cheered up with jokes.

Hermione was leaning on Ginny's shoulder and she said sadly "Do you think Ron and I will ever speak again?".

Ginny had an arm around her and she said "I believe that everything happens for a reason, I think the two of you will talk again eventually".

Harry had come over with Ron, so Hermione said "I've got to go Ginny I'll see you later".

She then whispered in Ginny's ear "Thanks for the comfort".

Ginny said "You're welcome".

Hermione smiled sadly at her and said goodbye to Ginny and Harry before walking out of the common room.

Ron said "Is she ever going to talk to me again?".

Ginny glared at her brother and said "Only if you stop being a prat, you know you're such a filthy hypocrite". She continued on and said "You know you got all mad at her for snogging Viktor Krum but then you go and snog Lavender".

Ron glared at her and said "That's completely off the point".

Ginny said "No it isn't Ron, this is your fault, I suggest you fix things with her before you lose her forever".

Harry didn't say anything he didn't want to get in between this argument.

Ginny turned to Harry and said "It's not fair that you're caught in between".

Harry said "I'm not picking sides".

Ron said "No fair Harry, we're best friends you're supposed to be on my side".

Harry said "And Hermione is also my best friend so I can't really choose".

Ron said "Whatever". Much to Ginny and Harry's annoyance Lavender came over and said "Won-won". Ron murmured "Oh bloody hell".

Lavender then wrapped her arms around Ron's neck and kissed him very passionately.

Ginny gagged quietly and Harry let out a laugh as he saw Ginny do this.

Ron reluctantly kissed Lavender back and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Ginny said "I think we should leave Harry, this is getting disgusting".

Hermione reentered the common room but stopped smiling when she saw Ron and Lavender, she then got tears in her eyes and told Ginny and Harry that she was going to bed early even though it was only 6:00.

Ginny said to Harry quietly "Poor Hermione, seeing the guy she likes with another girl".

Harry said "Yeah I feel awful".

Ginny said "Me too".

Ginny and Harry then walked out of the common room and asked Mcgonagall if they could go out to the quidditch field which she said yes so they went out to the quidditch field.

Ginny and Harry mounted their brooms and Ginny said "Scared Potter?".

Harry smirked and said "You wish".

Ginny said "I'm totally going to win".

Harry said "Nah I think I will since you won last time".

Ginny chuckled and said "More flying and less smack-talk".

The two of them flew in the air and began a fun game of quidditch.

Ginny was in the lead so far and Harry wasn't that far behind.

Ginny said teasingly "I think you should give up Potter I'm clearly the winner so...".

Harry said "Not going to happen".

The two played quidditch a little longer and Harry ultimately beat Ginny Weasley.

Harry said teasingly "Haha take that".

Ginny said jokingly "Oh shut up Harry".

The two joked around a bit longer before Harry flew back down to the ground, Ginny close behind bumped into him causing both of them to fall to the ground.

Ginny landed on top of Harry and the two were both laughing until they opened their eyes.

Harry longed to tell Ginny how much he was in love with her.

Ginny and Harry looked at one another in a way they both hadn't look at each other before.

Harry said quietly as he looked at Ginny "Ginny-".

Ginny said "Harry-".

Ginny looked at Harry and then rolled off of him.

Ginny stood up and helped Harry off the ground and said "We should go back inside, it's getting late it's like 8:30".

Harry said "Yeah, come on Gin".

Harry put an arm around Ginny and the two went back inside.

When the two were outside the Gryffindor common room,

Ginny said "Goodnight Harry".

Harry said "Goodnight Ginny".

Ginny then hugged Harry and Harry hugged her back. Ginny then looked into his emerald eyes and kissed him on the cheek before letting go.

Ginny then smiled at Harry and went up to bed.

Harry turned red and touched his cheek the one Ginny had kissed and he smiled to himself as he went up to bed.

Harry was lying in bed that night thinking about Ginny and their quidditch game, and how they stared at each other for a very long time. Harry wondered if Ginny was thinking about him too.

Ginny was also lying in bed and thinking about Harry. Ginny wanted to tell her brother that she was in love with Harry but she decided against it since Harry and Ron were best friends.

Ginny was still awake and she heard Hermione crying in her bed and she guessed that she was crying about Ron being with Lavender.

Ginny's heart ached, she felt terrible for Hermione and couldn't imagine what she was going through. Hermione was in love with Ron but he didn't even know it.

Ginny didn't want that to happen to her. She wanted to be open with her feelings before it was too late.

Ginny didn't know what to do but she decided to just go to bed and think about what she was going to do about her feelings for Harry in the morning.
