Ginny ultimately decided to not tell Harry about her blossoming feelings because she didn't want to ruin the friendship that they had built.
Ginny knew that her decision was for the best, since her and Harry were really good friends and plus she had a crush on him when she was younger but she had gotten over it and taken interest in other boys just like Hermione had advised and she had shown Harry her true personality.
Ginny continued to hang out with Harry and his friends and didn't act on her feelings.
Ginny and Harry were sitting in the great hall having dinner when Hermione said "I'm going to the library I'm not hungry".
Ginny saw that Hermione's eyes were red from crying.
Ginny's heart ached for her because Hermione was deeply upset about Ron's relationship with Lavender.
Hermione smiled at Ginny and Harry and walked away.
Ron glared as he came over to sit down with Ginny and Harry and he said "Is she ever going to talk to me again I didn't do anything wrong, yes we were supposed to go to Slughorn's Christmas party together but she didn't say anything it was only as friends I mean if she gets to snog Krum then I can snog whoever I want to as well, I'm a free agent".
Ginny said "Yeah and you're also an idiot".
Ron glared and said "Shut up Ginny".
Ron said "You can't be talking since you're snogging people too".
Ginny said "What are you talking about Ronald?".
Ron said "Dean? does that ring a bell?".
Ginny said "Oh, Dean and I broke up weeks ago we got into so many fights".
Ron said "Oh, well that sucks".
Ginny said "I was upset at first but Dean and I are better off not being together".
Harry said "So how are you and Lavender?".
Ron said "To be honest we don't really talk all she wants to do is snog and she's kind of clingy".
Ginny said "She seems like the clingy type so I can't say I'm surprised".
Harry said "Yeah, she's weird I have to admit".
Ron said "Yeah but I'm dating her so I can't really do anything about it".
Ginny said "You could dump her".
Ron said "No I don't want to hurt her feelings".
Just then Lavender came rushing over and she said in a high-pitched voice "Won-won".
Ron grunted as she flung herself on him and hugged him tightly kissing him all over his face.
Ginny and Harry gagged at the sight of this and Ginny said "Does she have to be so clingy?".
Hermione came back over and said "Hey guys-". She cut off when she saw Ron and Lavender snogging.
Harry said getting up "Mione-".
Hermione said "NO, it's fine Ronald can kiss who ever he likes I'm not sure he can hear me anyway".
Ginny said "Hermione we can just go to the library with you".
Harry said "Yeah we want to be there for you".
Hermione said "That'd actually be really nice thanks guys".
Harry, Hermione and Ginny leave to go to the great hall.
Mcgonagall said in a loud voice "Mr. Weasley and Ms. Brown stop that at once this is a school not a private place for your activities".
