Harry woke up with a start he had dreamt about Ginny again.
This had been going on for the weeks he didn't know why he was thinking about her so much.
He tried to convince himself that it was just because he had been hanging out with her so much but deep down he knew that wasn't why. Maybe it was because of her being with Dean?
Ginny needed a guy who made her laugh.
A guy who didn't take away from her competitive side.
A guy who would do anything for her.
A guy who loved her more than anything in the world. And Harry knew Dean just wasn't the guy for her.
Maybe no guy truly deserved Ginny Weasley. Not even Harry Potter himself.
Ginny had already gotten up and was ready for the day.
She thought about her date with Dean it was nothing special she thought she would have felt something but she didn't feel anything at all. Ginny was supposed to be meeting her friends and go to Hogsmeade with them.
Ginny left her common room and found Harry waiting for her and to be honest she wasn't surprised since she was supposed to be meeting Harry, Ron, and Hermione to go to Hogsmeade.
Harry said "Hey Gin."
Ginny smiled at the nickname she honestly loved that nickname.
Ginny says "Hey Harry."
Harry said "So how was your date with Dean last night?.
Ginny says "Boring, I thought it would be special but it wasn't."
Harry says "Oh well I'm sorry to hear that."
Ginny said "Yeah but I'm gonna give him a chance I want to see if there are any sparks between me and Dean and if it doesn't work out then we aren't meant for each other"
Harry said "Well I just don't want you to get hurt I care about you Gin."
Ginny smiles and says "Yeah I know and I'm grateful for it thanks."
Harry says "No problem."
Harry gives her a hug and she hugs him back and says to him "I'm grateful to have a great friend like you."
Harry smiled but felt just a tad of disappointment when Ginny said "friend." But he knew they were only friends and that's all they were ever gonna be.
