''We should go out today. It's beautiful and hot outside,'' I said after Michael finished his drink. I swear he lives here, except he doesn't. ''Ashton's never been outside except for going in the car when we went clothes and grocery shopping. I think it'd be nice to take him out and show him a little part of the outside world. What do you think?'' I asked my friend.
He nodded in agreement. ''Yeah, that's a good idea.'' He turned to the curly haired boy who was watching cartoon on the couch like always. ''Wanna go out and do fun things today, Buddy?'' he asked him.
He turned his head in our direction, raising an eyebrow. ''Fun things?''
''We could go to the beach?'' I suggested.
''Let’s go to the beach, each
Let’s go get a wave
They say, what they gonna say?
Have a drink, clink, found the Bud Light
Bad bitches like me, is hard to come by,'' sung Michael, moving his butt in a twerking way.''Ew, please stop,'' I demanded, scrunching my nose in disgust.
He ignored me and just laughed. ''Wanna go to the beach, Ashton?'' asked the red haired guy.
''What's that?''
While Michael explained Ashton what a beach was, I went upstairs to get my baiting suit because I have no idea where that went.. It's weird since I have a huge pool in my backyard but Mikey and I are the only one who use it so we don't always wear swimming trunks. Boxers can do the job or naked if I'm alone. But that rarely happens because Michael is a clingy guy and is always over to my place.
Fifteen minutes later, I finally found two pairs - we forgot to buy a pair for Ashton yesterday so I was happy when I found an old pair of mine. Otherwise, the poor boy would've been floating in mine.
''You ready for the beach, Ash?''
''We have a little problem..'' trailed Michael, scratching the back of his neck.
I lifted a brow. ''And what is this 'problem,'' I quoted.
''Ashton doesn't want to go to the beach.''
''What did you told him again?'' I groaned.
He shrugged. ''Nothing. I just explained what the beach was,'' he argued.
I shook my head, not believing him completely. I joined Ashton who was still sitting on the couch, watching cartoons, looking all cute with his blanket and messy hair. ''Why do you not want to go to the beach?'' I asked, sitting down beside him.
''I am watching this,'' he replied, pointing to the television screen.
I know this is not the real reason he doesn't wants to go to the beach.
''Mikey said we'll have to go into the water but I can't go in the water, I'm gonna drown and the ocean will take me away from you,'' he explained. ''Like in this one movie.''
''You don't have to go that far in the water. You can also stay on the sand and play there. We could build a sand castle together if you'd like?'' I suggested.
''You'll stay with me, Lukey?'' He looked at me with big, hopeful but with a hint of fear in, eyes. I nodded. ''You promise?''
''Always.''
Ashton and I had to wait as Mikey went to get his swimming trunks from his house. He offered to go and wait inside but I declined his offer. I don't want to run into my mother today. Or ever. She and I aren't on good therms and she'd be asking a handful of questions about Ashton.
