the first time always is the hardest -
it always will be.
like the first time you drive a car
or the first time you jump into a pool 10feet above ground
or the first time you decide to travel entirely on your own
or the first time you walk up to someone you don't know just to say hi
it feels terrible foreign & difficult -
until you do it once.
& then you laugh at yourself for ever being so afraid
& for taking so long to overcome your fear of something that now seems so casual
we spend time dwelling in our own personal barriers -
sometimes we get stuck in it for way too long .
there is fear
but it's not always directed at the circumstances
sometimes the fear is just something you build up in your own head & then it becomes something you have to overcome
you create a battle
within a battle
you have going on & you spend time
trying to fight the battle
you've created
instead of
the one you're supposed to fight
it's a twisted logic
but yet
it still happens
all the time.
