POV: Anita Johnson.
I woke up with Kimberly's arms wrapped around me. If I woke her up she'll want to join me but I didn't want her to come along.
I don't know what to expect from my mother.
I managed to get off the couch without waking her up.
I left my clothes. I wore a sweater, Sweat pants, and sneakers from my bag.
I took a bus home and upon mg arrival everyone was still sleeping. I walked into the dining room and my dad was sleeping on the couch. He did spend two nights here, sweet.
I needed a cold bath to ease my nerves. This situation just made me too nervous.
* * *I could already hear mom and dad's voices. They were calm toward each other. Maybe it wasn't that bad.
I got dressed and went downstairs.
"You back so soon?" Dad asked.
"Oh yes," I smiled.
"I missed you!" Dad laughed.
"I missed you more dad" I lied.
Okay, I didn't miss him more than he claimed to miss me. I did miss him but it's definitely not more.
I sat next to mom, She looked stressed yet happy. Maybe I was overthinking things, she was just okay.
Nick woke up and greeted everyone.
He seemed calm too.
He probably knew there was something we had to be told. He sat next to dad and mom turned the TV off which they only did when it was a very serious matter or when Nick and I were being reprimanded. I didn't like these kinds of meetings because one of us will leave the room crying. Okay, it's always mom or myself.
"Um, guys we have something to tell y'all!" Dad smiled weakly.
Well, it can be pregnancy or something worse. I wish it was pregnancy though lol.
"Your dad and I have been talking. We have decided on a lot of things" She faced the floor.
"It's actually good and bad news" Dad smiled.
"Can we hear the bad news first, " Nick spoke
"Well, we've decided on formally split" Mom smiled.
I didn't know how to feel, It actually broke me but then mom seemed cool about it. So there was no way dad could come back home? They were finalizing their break up, Damn it.
"Come on Nita don't be sad, We are both happy with our decision. it's best for everyone" Dad smiled.
"That's true, Your dad and I are both happy. It was going to happen anyway." Mom said.
"Let's switch to the good news" Nick spoke.
"Ready?" Asked dad.
