POV: Anita Johnson.

I flinched as Kimberly reached out for clothes behind me. No!

"Hey... I wouldn't beat you." She said and I smiled embarrassed.

"Are you okay?" She asked holding me.

"Yeah I am good, Are you okay?" I laughed awkwardly.

"You have been different since that day you came rushing out of that house." She said and I obviously pretended not to know what she was talking about.

"Did River do anything to you?" She asked evidently frustrated.

"No..." I replied.

"You would tell me though right?" She asked and I nodded.

Of course I would.

I really don't want to talk about what River. Fine he scares me, I don't know when he'll get another F and come attack me. I can't predict shit that he does and I can't find answers to his sudden love interest or the glock in his drawer.

"He just scares me," I confessed.

"And its crazier than what you and Nick think. I'm just not ready for any drama." I said stopping any tears from falling.

"Listen to me, You are mine, my wife. Even if River wanted to make peace, the only way is through your brother and I !" Kimberly said.

"This whole River thing will be a memory soon!" She brushed my afro.

Maybe that's not what I wanted. I know how valuable River is, and he needs all the love he can get and not bruises from Kimberly and Nick. If he wants peace it's through me, and that's it.

I just walked away.

I was kinda jealous of how Kimberly laughed with Nick and never bothered to return to check if I was okay and less angry. I need her attention, I need booty rubs and forehead kisses.

My phone vibrated, and "Mr. Dad" popped up on the screen. It was very exciting to watch it ring.

"Hey," I greeted.

"Hey baby... How are you?" He asked.

"I'm good, how are you dad?" Kinda didn't care though.

"I'm alright, Got a second?" He asked.

"I have all my life." I replied and he laughed.

I know this summer will be a little different without me in the house... But family traditions are family traditions baby." He said and I just mumbled yes after each clause.

"You are getting too old for that lemonade stand, and too lazy to clean people:s homes." He said and I knew something was coming.

"I spoke to your distant cousin who owns The Scoop down town and you are hired. Go check her when you can and you can start on Monday. If you're interested of course." Dad said and yes.

"Yes definitely, thank you dad!" I replied happier.

"Anytime baby," He answered back softly.

"Gotta go, I love you!" He hung up and yes didn't get the chance to say it back to Mr. Busy bee.

I need the job, I need the money, Yes dad!

I asked Kimberly go drive me there and it's like we never had different views earlier. She agreed and offered to buy takeaways for dinner. Sweet.

"If it's not baby Anita!" Hannah said pulling me into a great hug and yeah she smells so good.

"Oh big Hannah!" I laughed pulling away.

"You are so grown!" She said in disbelief.

"Won't debate with that, You are all grown yourself!" I laughed.

"Now I'm bigger Hannah!" She said and I couldn't agree less.

"How are you Parker?" She asked eyeing Kimberly.

"Been really good Johnson," Kimberky replied seemingly impressed.

"I can't believe you two are still friends." She said as she took a moment to look at both Kimberly and I.

"A couple actually," Kimberly laughed.

"Get out!" She laughed out louder catching a few stares.

"Um... Hannah, stop!" I blushed as Kimberly held her hand in mine.

"I don't know what to say, I would really love to cater desserts at your wedding." She said winking at Kimberly.

"Just stop, you know why we are here right?" I asked and she nodded.

"Received your records from your dad and I loved it. I'll forward everything I sent him which includes your shifts. He funded your uniform, you'll get it tomorrow and get to sign all the paper work then it's sealed." She informed and I just stood there really impressed. She's just to perfect and hardworking.

"I really appreciate it," I mumbled.

"Anytime, you are kin. You can pop in whenever you need." She said and I pulled her into a great hug.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." She mumbled and we walked away.

Our drive home was short, too short. We sang along to music most of the time. I constantly looked at Kimberly and yeah she was prettier each time.

Got home, shared the news to mom. Her happiness was evident and over everything she was happy that dad communicates with us regardless of how we know.

"Lemme finish cooking and we'll celebrate." She said.

"I need a nap." I dashed out.

"Nah, Come here..." Kimberly said after I threw myself on my bed.

"Nope, You come here!" I raised an eyebrow.

She walked towards me with a smirk and settled next to me.

I turned to face her, She leaned in! Well I missed her! Her lips always set me on fire.

"Now I can sleep," I mumbled.

"Not yet, Your lips are a bomb." She cupped my eyes.

"I want the longest kiss for all the times I wanted to kiss you and I didn't get the chance." She smirked.

She leaned in again!

I enjoyed kissing this girl. Sometimes love can't be explained in words but kisses tend to explain the unexplainable. The way she touched me said a lot of things that words just couldn't say. Being lost in the moment with Kimberly was my favourite thing to do. Time ticked away with my lips synced in hers

She finally pulled away and smiled.

"You still owe me." She said laying on my bed and finally allowing me to cuddle with her.

Argh baby!
