Sabrielle POV

Sabrielle Dupont sat alone at the "On The Rocks" bar. Black leather seats decorated the venue, with a stage set up for live music. The face of Finnish musicians and local celebrities were plastered all over the venue's walls. The 'Rocks' also offered a balcony area and an outside sitting area to sit and enjoy the city's evening air, though owing to her current mood she preferred to be close to her drinks. It had been some months since she had arrived in Finland and this was one of her favorite spots to unwind in downtown Helsinki. The place was heavily crowded with rowdy music and groups of people talking, laughing, and relaxing. It was enough to keep prying eyes off, not that she had many friends either way. Still, those she had she would rather avoid in her drunken and depressed state. She was not the friendliest person under the influence.

She downed another shot as she tried to numb her feelings of loneliness, pain, hate, and self-loathing. Sometimes she wondered if it would be easier to accept fate, rather than fight it. She looked down at her shot of  'Koskenkorva' Vodka, her favorite drink. It took everything in her willpower to not smash the glass to bits in her hands. She hated the reflection that looked back at her those facial features and those hazel eyes were part of her eternal torment. She looked so much like her abusive mother had, but those bright hazel eyes were those of her sick father. It only made it harder to try and understand who she was. Despite her attempts at therapy it was difficult to fight to seek her purpose in this world. It all seemed more pointless day by day, nothing but a tiresome task, of breathing and existing.

Sabrielle grimaced as the vile liquid burned her parched throat. It only added to her feeling of disgust and burning fire that scarred her stomach and liver making her whimper in pain. Her doctors had told her to stop drinking that she had severe damage to her liver, but she saw no point in it.

'If I am going to die anyway from this misery that consumes me day by day I might as well die happy' she said trying to reason with her self-spiraling sense of self-destruction.

Tears that had been threatening to leave her dark hazel eyes came rolling down. She wept in silence as the music of "Joy Division" in the background blurred her sobs out. As such, she did not notice the man sitting at a table a few paces away from her.

Ville POV

Unlike her, he was surrounded by friends, but like her, he was not truly happy. To his fans and the people of Helsinki Ville Hermanni Valo had a perfect, glamorous life, but he like everyone else had demons he had to hide in every interview and in every meet and greet. Music as such was his only form of catharsis, his release. However, he often felt he still lacked something more deep and meaningful in his life, someone to truly share it with without masks or taboos.
