After breakfast I went to the room giving myself a nice shower; this was something I missed when I was shrunken. But, it was something that made me feel relaxed. Everything just felt different and I just wanted to make sure everything could be done in a correct way find the solution and maybe help me grab the attention of Herbert. I threw on some skinny jeans and a black shirt, along with my black converse.I made my way out of the kitchen and when I walked in, both boys were silent. It was almost awkward. Herbert was dressed nicely in his worked clothes, he taught at the local community college on the weekends. "I left the key here on the counter, so you can use the lab later." I smiled, Herbert started walking towards me and developed me in a hug, this was sort of new he never was super touchy. The hug stopped and Herbert looked at me making eye contact, "Aiden invited me out to join you guys later tonight, so I'll see you later the both of you." I watched Herbert make his way out the door and I smiled, he hugged me for darn sake, my one crush. I was taken out from my stance. "I don't really like him, he comes across as a snob, don't really see what you like about him?" Here again was Aiden not liking Herbert at this point I didn't really care about what he had to say. "It doesn't matter what you think, but we have about four hours until we can go to the lab, I'll meet you there." I looked at my phone and sent the address where the lab was."But I'm gonna go out and run some errands." I was heading outside so I could wait for an Uber, "I'm in. Where are we going?"
Once we pulled into the parking lot I could tell Aiden wasn't happy, but he knew what he was getting into when I told him we were going to go to the mall. We started walking towards the entrance, "Exactly how long do think we will be here?" I let out a laugh while Aiden was holding the door for me. I walked into the cold air conditioner, "I just want to impress Herbert tonight. And since you're here you're going to help me. " I just kept blabbering with excitement at the thought of someone having a crush on me, "God, Alina you sound like this is the only man that you have ever liked." I just hurried up my walking, that's when he obnoxiously started laughing at "Wait let me guess he is the first guy you ever had a crush on." I turned around and faced Aiden, "Just shut up!" He seemed taken aback, "Please, Aiden you promised to help me so I need to find a perfect outfit in less than two hours."
I knew Aiden wouldn't say not to my plea, so here we were in a nice store I had picked some dresses out for me to try on. Unfortunately, for me every dress I came out to show Aiden he just said it looked fine, I didn't want to just look fine, I wanted to look perfect. I was in the dressing room and all I had left to try on was a blue dress with lace that the retail associate picked out for me. The dress reached right above my knees, but still remained modest, which was the way I liked all my clothes to be. The only issue was I couldn't button the back of the dress, I opened the dressing room door and made my way to Aiden. He was too busy on his phone, "Aiden can you help me out for a moment?" He looked up from his phone, "I need help with the buttons in the back." He nodded his head and helped me button up the dress, It felt a little off to have his help and to feel his touch on my body. I mean I always hated Aiden, but I just felt confused he used to come across as rude, but the more he kept helping me all I felt was that it was weird. I had to keep reminding myself he was trying too get rid of me as fast as he could. Once I knew that the dress was buttoned up I did a twirl, "What do you think?" Aiden was just staring at me and I suddenly felt self conscious, "Well?" Aiden was staring at me intently "You look good Alina." I giggled.
We walked out of the mall even though I had my own money Aiden insisted on paying no matter how long I persisted. The whole time while we checked out the cashier who was an older lady just smiled at us and insisted that we were such "A cute couple." Those are her words not mine. We walked out of the mall and as we got into the car, Aiden turned to me "You want to stop and get something to eat?" I nodded me head with a smile, Aiden was really starting to understand me.
