After lunch, everyone was feeling tired for they had been awake since early in the morning. The kids and teachers alike got comfortable in their bus seats and decided to have a quick nap.

Meera graciously gave her seat beside Alia to her so that she could have both the seats and sleep comfortably. Meera shifted to the seat infront of Alia's. Another reason was that Alia used to snore very loud. And even though Meera didn't want to take a nap, she still didn't want to put herself through those loud snores.

As Meera slid into her new designated seat, she realised it was just beside Kabir's. She nervously fumbled with her bag as she tried to fit it underneath her seat.

"Here, let me help you," Kabir suggested.

"Thankyou," Meera smiled and sat back straighter. "Do you want to nap as well?"

"Nope. You?"

"Nope. I'd rather look at the scenery outside," Meera said sheepishly. She absolutely loved nature. The wind, the greenery, the wildlife- all of them had a calming affect on her.

"Do you want the window seat then? We can switch," Kabir suggested graciously.

"Are you sure you don't mind?" Meera asked excitedly.

"No," he gave a small laugh, "I get to sit beside you, why will i mind?" He gave her a wink.

Meera blushed lightly and they switched their seats. She tilted her head to look behind at the others, and noticing that everyone was dozing, she slowly opened her window and stuck her head out a little.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Came Kabir's voice.

Meera took a deep with her eyes closed and smiled. "Nothing. I just love the smell of wet soil."

"Really?" Kabir laughed, "now you'll say that you like the smell of petrol as well." He teased her.

She sat back comfortably in her seat before replying. "I do."

"Oh my god, you're something else man." Kabir shook his head and smiled at her.

"You still love me."

A second too late Meera realised what she just said. "Oh my god, I didn't mean it like that." She tilted her head to look at his face. He looked deep in thought with a slight frown etched on his face.

"Hey, you okay? I didn't mean to say that. Sorry," Meera apologised with a small voice.

Kabir extended his hand out to reach hers and entwined their fingers. Meera's eyes followed that movement and then looked up to meet his eyes.

"I do."

For a second Meera looked shocked. "What?"

"You said i love you. I think i do. And if it's not love yet, it's almost love. I can feel it."

Meera felt her heart beat faster, and her hands grew clammy. She pulled back her hand a little and wiped them on her pants. She realised her fingers were shaking with nervousness.

Where is my confidence when i need it? She thought.

Taking two deep breaths, she leaned in to hug Kabir. "Me too. I can feel it too Kabir."

Kabir wrapped his hands around her and she leaned her face into the crook of his neck. She inhaled his manly scent and closed her eyes.

This felt like heaven.
