Chapter 13

"Fang?"

Quake was beyond shocked to see his friend beside Solar, holding their other friend.

Thunder grunted; Ice looked down, feeling betrayed and Blaze was confused at his companions sudden change in behaviour.

Quake shook his head in disbelief. He took his arm off the others' shoulder and limped forward.

"W-why? Just why?" Was the only words that came out of Quake's mouth.

Fang shrugged as if it was nothing.

"I saw you guys leave the castle secretively every single day. I followed you and learnt that the theives were your brothers and you were helping them. I even heard you guys planning for this specific day and I told everything to the King." Fang said without any remorse.

"I-I thought we were best friends.. Friends won't let their friends down.. Right?" Quake asked, his voice so low and pupils shaking. Tears pricked the corner of his eyes.

"I trusted you." Quake yelled as his tears began to fall.

Fang flinched at that but his face immediately morphed into anger.

"I trusted you too but that was before you and your brothers tried to steal her from me!" Fang yelled, tightening his grip around Ying.

"WHAT!!!?"

"After you guys made your debut, Ying was never the same with me. She spent most of her time with you and her smile and laughter belonged to you. She never smiled at me!! She was happy with you." Fang growled out, his voice laced with jealousy.

"That's when I realized that if I get rid of you, she'll be all mine and I found the perfect opportunity to do so."

"You do realize how love sick you sound right now.." Blaze deadpanned.

"ENOUGH!!" Solar yelled, diverting all attention back to him.

"Technically that girl deserves to die after cheating our system. But as per your request and your help, I'll let her be. Now back to business!!" He yelled, gesturing an arm forward as an army stepped up.

They shot arrows at the four who were frozen stiff in shock.

Thunder whipped his head to his brothers, fear evident on his face.

"Guys dodge it!!"

Everything seemed to go in slow motion.

The trio didn't move an inch so Thunder limped forward, raising his sword as a last resort.

Clank!

Thunder's eyes widened as the arrows fell to the ground before it reached them.

Along with the arrows, he noticed some very familiar daggers and shurikens.

"Don't you dare hurt our brothers!!" Two voices yelled in unison.

The tetrad whipped their head towards the very familiar voices, shocked.

"I thought I told you guys to leave!!!" snapped Quake and Thunder.

"And leave you guys behind? No way!!"

The tetrad was gaping at the new voice.

The Army ceased to attack.

"Dad??"

Amato stepped forward with a broom and the people behind him followed.

The four was speechless.

The whole residents of Rintis society, young and old, male and female alike were there, holding building and cleaning materials as weapons.
