Chapter 23

~Seth's POV~

I am woken up by someone knocking on my door. I get up from my bed and open my door.

"Seth, we've got a reply from my friend." Dylan says as he catches his breath.

It's been a week since Lilith's disappearance and over the couple days I have grown close to Dylan, Isaac and Lily. I see them as my friend.

"Let's get to my office, I'll be right there."

Dylan nods. "I'll get Isaac and Lily as well."

"See you soon." I say as I close my door and head to my closet to dress a bit more appropriate.

Once I am dressed, I speed walk to my office. As a prince I am not allowed to run through the corridors. Only when it is really needed.

I walk in my office to see I am the first to arrive. I really hope Dylan's friend knows where Lilith is being held captive. I pace around the room.

Why are they takin so long?

The moment I think that the door opens and reveals my three friends.

"Sorry, had to run some errands." Lily apologizes.

"It's okay, now that we are all here. Dylan would you do the honours." I motion to the letter in his hand.

He unfolds the letter and begins to read aloud.

"Dear brother,

It took me a long time to find your friend without any suspicion. As you may know, the King has multiple palaces. His kingdom grows everyday and so does his number of real estates. At the moment, I believe he has eight dungeons. In none of them I could find your friend. I did some more digging and found one unknown dungeon of the King. It is located on the border of this kingdom and yours. If you follow the river Bioltan you'll eventually stumble on to a small city, Bolton is its name. there is a small diner located in this city called 'Gacy's Food'. In the back of the diner, there is a staircase which leads underground. There are a lot of tunnels and rooms under this city.

Once you're down the staircase you take the tunnel to your left. This will eventually lead to a part of the dungeon.

Unfortunately, I do not know which part that is. I hope this information helps you find your friend. I hope to hear from you soon. My bag and I are ready to move.

I am mournful to hear about the death of your unknown man. If your descripting is accurate, I believe this man is called Codey Roust. He had a wife and three kids. I will visit them earlier and she wife was very helpful for the information.

"Your friends name is J?" Lily asks.

"No, it's his cover in case the letter gets intercepted." Dylan explains.

"How does your friend know all this?" Isaac asks.

"He has a lot of connections, enemies of ours but also friends." Dylan replies. "

"I need to inform my Father; he'll get us ready to fight." I state.

"You think he'll do that?" Isaac asks.

I shrug. "I mean he is out for blood, so maybe he does it to get revenge on King Jeremy."

"You need the letter?" Dylan asks as he reaches the letter towards me.

"No, I won't endanger your friend." I answer. "We will tell him we intercepted a message. I need you to help me convincing him."
