~Lilith's POV~
We arrive at the palace gate and since I am technically banned from the palace, I let Geronimo do the talking.
"Excuse me Sir." Geronimo greets the Guards. "We n-"
"Sorry, Sir and..." The Guard interrupt and looks at me questioningly.
Since I don't fill in the blank the Guard continues. "Visits aren't allowed. Only if you have the right documents." He looks at us. "Which I do not see."
Geronimo looks at me. I shrug. "Alright thank you for your time." Geronimo says as we turn around.
The Guards start talking to each other again.
Once we're out of hearing range we stop walking. "So, what now?" Geronimo asks.
"We have to sneak in." I reply nonchalantly.
"How on earth do you want to do that?" Geronimo asks. "They have a very tight security."
"There are some ways to get in and it's not like I haven't done this before." I reply as I start walking along the walls surrounding the palace. "The three people that are head of security will change it in the future though."
Geronimo follows me. "You know them?"
"Yep, they are friends of mine." I answer and stat looking for my entrance spot. "It also helps that I now the rotation of the guards."
I stop when I find the place where the guards won't look. Geronimo collides in me because of my sudden stop.
"I hope your still have your strength." I state and I tie up my horse on a tree.
Geronimo mirrors my motion. "Don't tell me we're climbing that wall..." He groans.
I give him a small smile and start climbing. "You know me, I love to climb. Just hang back I will give you a signal."
"Okay." Geronimo replies lowly.
I effortless climb the wall and when I arrive at the top I sit low. I grab my rope from my bag and tie a loop. I put the loop diagonally over my shoulder and then throw the end of the rope down to the ground.
"Geronimo, you can start climbing as well, the coast is clear." I say and Geronimo looks up.
"The rope?" He asks.
"You can use it if you need to." I reply.
He nods and gratefully grabs the rope. Whit my weight and feet placed against the embankment at the edge, I help Geronimo climb the wall.
When his hand reaches the elevation, I pull him up. He sits beside me panting.
"Man, I have no condition." He pants. He looks at me. "Do we need to get down?"
I nod. "But you will go first so you can use the rope again."
Geronimo nods. "But won't we be in plain sight one we're down?"
"When you're down you move to those bushes." I say pointing toward the bushes. "Those will hide you."
Geronimo looks at me. "This is what you did last night?"
I nod. "Now get moving before the guards will guard this area."
I throw the end of the rope to the other side of the wall and use the same technique as before to help Geronimo down the wall.
When he's on the ground I climb down as well and hide in the bushes next to Geronimo. I roll up the rope and put it back in my bag.
"So now what?" Geronimo whispers.
I think for a bit. "You'll will enter the palace from the front door." I start.
Geronimo wants to interrupt, but I continue. "They won't recognize you and when they see you, they will probably think you're or a server or a knight."
"That makes sense..." Geronimo whispers. "And then what?"
"You will warn a certain maid named Lily. She stays on the first-floor number 9 and is probably asleep."
After the attack lily and I went to my former room so I could freshen up.
"First floor number 9." Geronimo mumbles to himself.
"You will explain everything to her. I think she will know who you are once you tell her your name."
Geronimo looks concentrated to remember all the information I give to him.
"You will tell her to inform Dylan and Isaac and you will follow her. They will help you warn the King and Prince."
And they will protect you
"Okay." Geronimo nods. "What about you?"
"Well I can't simply enter the palace from the front door since I am banned from the palace. They do have my description so I will need to find another entrance."
Geronimo looks worried at me.
"But don't worry, I am trained to sneak around." I say with a smirk.
Geronimo looks a bit more relieved. "The we will set this plan in motion."
I nod. "Good luck."
"You too." Geronimo replies and strides to the entrance of the palace. I watch to make sure he enters. As I expected Geronimo makes it easily inside.
I sigh in relief and scan the palace for an entrance. I look up to the high Eats tower the Prince is located in. I must not get caught by anyone else, but the Prince, Dylan, Isaac or Lily. I know they will listen to me and trust me. The other Royal Guards won't trust me or it will be hard to convince them. Besides, at the moment they are all controlled by the King who isn't very fond of me being in his palace.
If I can make it to the staircase that leads to the East tower, Dylan and Isaac will let me in.
I nod to myself content with my plan. I walk unnoticed to the East wing of the palace. I look up and see the balcony of the Prince's chamber.
Just like earlier, a simple climb
It is easier said than down, the Prince's room is located on the third floor. Unfortunately for me, these floors have a lot of height. After ten minutes of climbing I stand on the Prince's balcony. I look up to the High East tower.
In the distance I hear the bells of the church ringing. It's half past six, that means in half an hour the Prince will be woken up. Then I remember an important detail Isaac informed the Guards.
They have two shifts. Both Isaac and Dylan where in the first shirt. So, the Guards who are posting now won't let me through. It also means that they checked the Prince's tower room half an hour ago.
This all means that I can't take the staircase like I wanted. I look up to the High East tower.
Damn that is high.
By now I hope Geronimo has informed both Lily, Dylan and Isaac. The only question remaining is will they 1. Trust him, and 2. Inform the Prince instead of the King.
Can I risk it?
I look back up. Four floors in in less in 20 minutes so I have ten minutes to explain and disappear again. I shake my hands and head. I feel the grooves of the wall, they are big enough for a good grip.
"Fuck it." I mumble I grip the stones with my hands and start my climb.
Yep I am completely insane.
