~Seth's POV~

"Lilith?" I whisper.

She stays quiet and pushes me to a chair in my room.

"Sit." She orders as she pushes me to the chair.

I quickly sit down and look at her. She is unrecognizable her hood shadows most of her face and she also has a scarf covering the lower half of her face. Yet, I know it's her. The pair of dark blue eyes staring at me, I recognize from anywhere.

The spirit that normally is in her eyes is gone; her eyes stare dull at me.

I now notice all the purple and blue bruises next to her eyes. I see also the beginning of a red line under her left eye.

I open my mouth to speak, but she speaks up.

"Listen closely." She points her knife at me.

She walks over and squats so that she is at my eye level.

"While we are having a nice chat here, there are ten men of King Hureston waiting in the line of the forest."

I try to stand up to inform my Father, but Lilith pushes me back down.

"Not so fast, they are waiting for my signal." Lilith continues and I look at her confused. "After a nice chat King Hureston 'convinced' me to kill you. I mean he first wanted me to tell your schedule, but after a nice discussion I convinced him to let me kill you."

I look at her shocked.

"I mean what do I have to lose, right?" She laughs quietly and shakes her head. "I have thought about it, killing you. I did a lot of thinking; it was the only thing I could do for the past... week."

She takes a deep breath. "I was getting sick of the torture, so I stroke a deal."

"I get it, you've been through a lot." I whisper. Some emotion flickers through her eyes.

She chuckles. "And the weird thing is, I can't kill you. As much as I want it, I can't."

She stands up and places her knife back in her belt. "I won't. Even if it means I will get killed."

I give in to my urge to hug her. She freezes when my arms are wrapped around her. She doesn't hug me back, but I don't care. I place my head in her neck.

"What are you doing?" She asks. "You need to inform your Father."

"I just... I want to thank you for everything you've done for me." I whisper in her neck.

She awkwardly pats my back. "Your welcome, but you have to take some action before the men by the forest get bored of waiting."

I finally let her go. "I guess I have to." I reach out to her face and remove the scarf.

I am shocked to see al the bruises and scars on her face.

"What will you do?" I ask softly.

She looks to something over my shoulder. I turn my head and see my bow.

I turn back to meet her eyes. She thinks very hard.

"Will you stay with me?" I ask quietly. "To protect me." I quickly add.

And so, I can keep you close

She sighs. "Give me the bow."

I quickly grab the bow form my wall and the arrows which that are part of it. I hand it to her and she swings it over her shoulder.

"Once this is finished, I am gone." She says.

I look at her alarmed. "Why? I will lift the banishment and you can keep working here."
