Sugawara looks up from his textbook to instead look at (Y/N) who's on the floor under his desk.

(Y/N) had said it was so he can focus while doing homework, but Sugawara isn't so sure. His shorter boyfriend looks like he's about to doze off.

His head is rested in the palm of his hand, eyes slowly starting to flutter shut, and Sugawara allows himself to watch for a little longer before breaking the comfortable silence.

"(Y/N)?"

"Hm?" he hums back, giving Suga a quick look before going back to his textbook.

Sugawara slips off the bed and sits down in the spinning chair next to the desk, not replying at first. (Y/N) waits, patient and pliant as he rereads a paragraph a few times.

Sugawara leans back in the rolling chair and stretches his legs over (Y/N)'s back before letting them just lay there. Any way to be close, Sugawara supposes. (Y/N) doesn't show any sign of being uncomfortable, so Sugawara doesn't move.

"Do you want to meet my teammates?" he asks. "They want to meet you, they think you're cool."

There's a lag of hesitation in their already drawn out conversation, and (Y/N) finally turns his head away from his homework.

Sugawara's eyes meets his (e/c) eyes, and for a moment, they both stare at each other, unblinking.

"...you talk about me at practice, then?"

"Of course!" Sugawara blushes. He looks away to scan the walls. "Is... that alright?" he is now uncertain, voice trailing off slightly.

"It's fine," (Y/N) smiles gently, and Sugawara almost misses it in his peripheral vision. "It's cute of you, Kou-chan."

Sugawara turns red.

"We could meet them tomorrow, if you want," his hazel-brown eyes sweep back to (Y/N), still waiting.

"Alright," (Y/N) says, sighing a bit nervously. Sugawara beams.

"You'll be fine, (Y/N)," he sends him a another reassuring smile. "Some will probably ask weird questions, but they'll love you."

They just entered the gym before after school practice when Nishinoya is starting one of his bizarre stories to Tanaka and Hinata.

"Well it all started when Hayfer-sensei wanted me to babysit her dumb house. When I got the keys, I sat them on top of this pie that I found on the counter.

"I knew it was going to be given to the family for desert if I didn't eat it soon, so I was going to plan to eat it in my teacher's house and dump all the crumbs in her bed. So it's a win-win, right?

"Besides she wouldn't find out about the crumbs until after I was paid, and this teacher hates me anyway. Then, I got distracted when this hot cheerleader calls me, asking about what movie I'd recommend, but before I could answer, I realize that my mom would be there any second to serve dinner, and there was no way I was sharing that pie.

"So I bust out of there with the pie and the keys, and the moment I get in the house, I start chowing down on the pie with my bare hands, trying to eat this thing before anyone knows I took it, right?

"Well since the pie crust was dry, I chugged a 2-liter bottle of soda whenever my throat got dry, and eventually, I really needed 'to go.' Only when I started to flush, the water wouldn't stop flowing and there was no plunger to be found.
