"Ennoshita... Maybe I shouldn't join..." (Y/N) sighs as he's gently tugged in the direction of the gym. "I mean..."

Ennoshita stops, looking back with a concerned look. "You were pretty excited about joining a while ago.. What's wrong?"

"It's just," (Y/N) stutters out, tugging at the bottom of his shirt. "What if they- What if I... I mean, I don't really have the.. body for it...?"

Ennoshita stares at him, and (Y/N) winces.

"The body... for Volleyball?"

"I mean," (Y/N) tries to change what he says, waving his hands and looking away. "I don't think I'll make the team!"

"No, that's not what you mean," Ennoshita turns around, placing his hands on (Y/N)'s shoulders to make him look at him. "You think you're good at it, right? Why would you think you wouldn't make the team then?"

"I.. I'm not skinny.. and I'm short, too," (Y/N) sighs. "I'm scared that they won't like me.. because of that. Not being skinny. Or maybe they'll make fun of me or talk about me behind my back or–"

"(Y/N)," Ennoshita pulls him into a hug. "I'm not going force you to join, but nobody one the team is going to judge you whether you're thicker or not than them."

"...Are you sure?"

Ennoshita nods, "I think they'll be too focused on you looking so cute to even notice."

(Y/N) pulls out of his embrace. "...Do you think I'm cute?" A giddy smile spreads across the shorter male's face. "You do! You think I'm cute–!"

Ennoshita blushes and smooshes (Y/N)'a cheeks together with a hand, making him look like a fish with how his lips puckered out.

"I think everyone thinks so," Ennoshita smiles softly.

"Doubt it, but either way you admitted it... to my face!" he says but it comes out muffled and almost incoherent.

"If you doubt it, I'll just have to compliment you every day until you start to think otherwise."

(Y/N)'s face turns red so Ennoshita lets go of him. "Thank you... you're a good friend.. well not friend," he squints in concentration. "Hmm.. you're a good not a friend but not quite yet a boyfriend!"

Ennoshita raises an eyebrow.

"Anyways," (Y/N) claps. "Now that you've raised my self esteem, let's go!" he takes Ennoshita by his hand and starts off in the direction of the gym.

Right when they're at the door, (Y/N) pauses, uncertain once more. He looks over to Ennoshita.

"C'mon," Ennoshita opens the door, giving him a reassuring smile. "They'll love you. Maybe not Tsukishima, but most of them will love you."
