"Bye, Kageyama!" Hinata waved, turning and hopping onto his bike. His favourite show was about to rerun and he couldn't miss it. He pedalled quickly, only slowing when he noticed a group of people on the side of the road.
Hinata, distracted, failed to notice something in the way of his bike.
His front wheel smacked into it and he was lurched off of his bike. The group of people screeched in fright and ran off in all different directions.
Hinata frowned, wondering why they were so jumpy and didn't even stay to help him up. He left his bike and limped over to the circle of candles and what looked like salt.
He stepped inside of it, spinning around. "Huh. This is lame," he mumbled before suddenly feeling lightheaded. He stumbled a step back. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to get rid of his dizziness. As he was about to fall, a hand grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
"You weren't the one to summon me."
Hinata shrieked and jumped back out of the circle as his eyes snapped open.
Hinata almost confused the figure for a human.
The figure in front of him was (the same height/taller/shorter) as/than him and had small horns curling from the top of his head. He also had (h/c) coloured hair and (e/c) eyes that had rectangular pupils instead of circular.
"You're a demon!" Hinata pointed, only now noticing the pointed tail that flicked behind him.
"Yes." The two stared at each other before the demon sighed. "Do you want to make a deal? I can give you anything you desire."
"Really? That's super cool!" Hinata bounced. The demon watched silently. "I want.. Um.. I want meat buns– Wait, no.. Can I take time to make up my mind?" Hinata deflated, unable to come up with an answer.
The demon only nodded. Hinata grabbed his bike, turning to the demon once again. "I swear I'll come up with an answer in less than three days! You can stay in my room though while you wait! How about that?" He received a nod. "Come on then!"
He started walking before pouting when the demon didn't budge at all. "What's wrong?"
The demon looked down at the line of salt that surrounded him before looking back up at Hinata. "Oh sorry!" Hinata nudged away a section of the salt for him to get through before returning to his bike. "What's your name, by the way? Mine is Hinata Shouyou!"
"I don't have a name," the demon replied, walking a step or two behind him.
"Well, I'll give you one! How about (Y/N) for a first name? I don't think you'll need a last name— Unless you want one!"
"I'm fine with only a first name."
"Cool!" Hinata beamed at him, tugging the demon by his wrist to walk faster.
Once they made it to his house, he somehow snuck in a literal demon so his mom and sister wouldn't find out and worry over him. He shoved him into his room and came back an hour later.
"Look! I brought food!" he shoved it in (Y/N)'a face.
"I don't eat."
"Well, more for me! Oh, and I'll roll out a futon for you to sleep on, if you even sleep! You should tell me more about demons! How old are you and how long do you live for—" And then he continued to ramble and ask questions for the rest of the night, not even thinking of any wishes for his deal. He also forgot about his favourite show being on.
It was months later since that fated meeting, and Hinata still had yet to make a decision for the deal.
(Y/N) rested on the futon that the teen set out for him every night. And every night (Y/N) moved off the futon and into the corner of the room to get as far away from Hinata as possible.
He slowly stood up, his gaze flickering down to Hinata.
(Y/N) watched as he trembled in his sleep, sweat forming at his hairline. He frowned, taking a hand and running it through his fluffy hair. Hinata only trembled more at the contact. It was like his body knew something was there that wasn't supposed to be. Something evil.
He sighed and walked over to a corner of the room, curling up into a small ball. His eyes slid closed.
"(Y/N)!" Hinata sang loudly into his ear hours later, making him slide an eye open. "I thought you were finally going to sleep in the futon I laid out," he pouted.
"You're scared of me," he said simply, pushing his face away from his with a hand.
"No, I'm not."
"Now you're not. But in your sleep you were. You were shaking. It's a natural response to being in the presence of something like me," the demon shrugged. "Anyways, make a deal with me, and then I can finally leave you alone to sleep well."
Hinata stared at him, his eyes darkening. "I don't want to make a deal, I just want to be with you."
"I'm a demon."
"Yes."
"I could kill you at anytime, posses you, hurt you!" (Y/N) yelled, frustrated. "I'm evil!"
"Well, break away then! Betray your demonic ways!" Hinata looked at him like he was stupid. "Demons are only a thing because they were once angels who broke away from expectations, right? They betrayed the god thing or whatever. So just break away again from the head demon person you serve!"
(Y/N) fell silent, wondering if he was being serious or not.
Hinata continued, "So, let's begin by cuddling! In case you didn't know, very good friends do this!" he nodded as if reassuring himself that his horrible plan would work.
"I'm not stupid, Hinata." The short teen pouted.
"Cuddle anyways? You look like a good cuddle buddy."
"I have pointy horns at the top of my head. I'm not very cuddly."
"So?"
(Y/N), silent again, watched Hinata climb back onto his bed and make a beckoning motion towards the demon.
"Fine, the real reason is.. you're so warm!" Hinata gushed. "You're like a heating pad or.. a stove!"
"Those are two entirely different things," (Y/N) rolled his eyes but slowly slid under the covers next to him. Hinata rearranged them and shoved his face under his chin and into his neck, wrapping his arms around him.
(Y/N) loosely placed an arm on his waist, and Hinata pulled them even closer by wrapping a leg around him.
"I know what I want from you!" Hinata suddenly spoke after the lull in the conversation, pulling his head away slightly from his neck to speak.
"You're ready to make a deal?" the demon asked, his eyes watching the moving shadows in the room.
"I want you to stay with me! That's the deal," Hinata melted back into his warmth, unable to stay away for long.
"You get attached too easily," (Y/N) mumbled in response yet his eyes closed in content. "But you have to remember, a deal's a deal. There's no getting rid of me afterwards." Hinata's response made the demon's grip on him tighten and pull him impossibly close.
"I would never want to get rid of you."
