Rue snorted by the joke and typed her reply. Meanwhile, a certain someone noticed this and decided to ask her about this later.

Rue absentmindedly waited for a text from Tyrone while the person beside her stared deeply into her face. Feeling a pair of eyes watching her, Rue glanced at her side to see Alex with a frown placed on his face. Alex hastily looked at another direction in which Rue raised a brow at.
Shaking her head, Rue yet again waited for Tyrone’s text as she never wanted to start a conversation because of the thought of interrupting him of something important that he’s doing. A bing was heard indicating that she received a text.
Rue excitingly unlocked her phone and grinned at the text of her newly found friend.

Rue was about to text a funny meme to Tyrone when a hand grabbed her phone from her grip which surprised her and let out a small ‘Hey!’ in which she regretted afterwards as she saw her teacher in front of her.
“Using your phone while you’re in my class? That is quite brave of you Ms Benett.”
The teacher took Rue’s phone and Rue shook her head in anger, a scowl evident on her face. She hated that son of a cow teacher, she hated her with a burning passion. Her teacher obviously despise Rue too as she was giving Rue low grades while Rue was doing great in her class.
Alex looked at the girl with sympathy. The class has ended and she approached her teacher, waiting for her to return her phone. The teacher smugly said;
“I don’t want this to happen again Ms. Benett.”
“Yes, Mrs Addison.”
Rue grabbed her phone and quickly unlocked it to see 10 missed messages from Tyrone.

Rue jumped in surprise and settled down when she saw that it was her childhood friend Alex. Rue answered him with all honesty
“A friend I met through online. His name is Tyrone and is a pretty cool guy.”
“A guy?”
“Yeah, so?”
“Do you like him?”
“Well yeah, duh.”
“Romantically?”
“Pff- what?! No!”
“Then why do you keep on talking to him?”
Rue’s anger started to show as she raised her voice on answering Alex’s question.
“So you’re saying that I can’t talk to a guy without having romantic feelings for him? Jesus due, what the hell?!”
Alex furrowed his eyebrows and said;
“Damn girl, chill.”
Rue let out a sigh and glared at Alex with flaming anger.
“Next time, don’t be such an ass by asking those stupid questions.”
Rue left, leaving a guilty Alex behind with a bunch of people whispering among themselves by the scene caused by the two childhood friends. Rue decided to skip her next class, her mood got the best of her.
Rue went to her school field and sat by the benches. Rue was contemplating all the stuff that happened in the world. She didn’t want to be sent to Mars because of the overpopulation but it is needed. The president declared that their country should stick with the 2000’s technology while the other countries get to have flying cars and such. It saddened Rue with everything that has happened in the world and how it drastically downgraded. Rue pulled out her phone from her pocket and texted Tyrone.
