CHAPTER EIGHT:
OUT THE WINDOW
----------------------------
Jules' P.O.V.
I was woken up by a quiet voice in my ear. "Jules? Are you awake?"
I yawned and blinked my eyes open to see my boyfriend smiling at me.
"I am now," I whispered back.
"Come on," he said, taking my hand and helping me stand up.
"Where are we going?" I ask as we walk up the stairs.
"I wanted to spend some time alone with you. And I wanted to show you one of my favorite places in the world."
He pulled my into a guest room, shut the door, and walked over to the window. He let go of my hand and started to open it.
He pushed open the screen and climbed out, stepping onto a thick tree branch. I stood at the window, my arms crossed.
"What are you waiting for? Come on." He extended his hand, and I sighed, grabbing it and reaching my foot out the window. I carefully stepped on the branch as Riker climbed onto the roof.
"You ready? One, two, three!" I took a giant step and he pulled me up next to him.
He sat down and laid on his back, patting the spot next to him. I laid next to him, resting my head on his chest.
"Sometimes when I want inspiration, or whenever I'm stressed or just want some alone time, I come up here," he said.
"The stars are really beautiful from up here," I noted.
"Not as beautiful as you."
I laughed. "You're so cheesy, Riker."
"Oh shut up. I was trying to be nice."
"Loser."
"That's hurtful, you know."
"I don't care."
"Why not?"
I lifted my head up so I could look him in the eyes. "Because I love you either way."
"You what?" he asks, taken aback.
"I love you, Riker."
"I love you too, Jules."
I sat up, pulling him with me. I crashed our lips together, and I felt him smile into the kiss. I ran my hands through his blonde hair as he slid his down to the small of my back. I straddled him, and we went deeper into the kiss. He traced his tongue under my lower lip, and I slightly parted my lips, allowing his tongue to explore my mouth. We continued with this for while until I felt something push up against my leg. I pulled back and looked underneath me.
"Oh god, Riker," I laughed.
He blushed. "Sorry. I can't help it. You're just so--"
"Save it. I have to go back to the living room soon anyways," I sighed.
"Okay. Let's go."
We stood up carefully. I turned my head to look at the pool and saw something I never expected to see.
"Umm Riker?" I said confused.
"Yeah?"
"Look at the pool. Is that who I think it is?"
"Oh my god. What if my parents woke up right now? The window next to their bed looks out to the backyard."
"Let's go get them," I said as he helped me onto the tree branch.
