"Just stop by my work today and you'll see her for yourselves." The Point Palace's cashier said as he walked alongside his two school mates.
This boy has been mesmerized by the 'all-work-no-play' waitress at the pizzaria. Just a week in and she's already brought in more customers. Of course that meant that the place only got busier than ever and gave him less of a chance to try to make a move. As any infatuated teenager would do, he told his friends, and as his friends they immediately didn't believe him. They has no reason to.
They've never seen her around their area or school, never heard her name before, or even rumors from other peers about a cute girl at the pizza joint.
" I got game he says," His friend immediately mocked. "Yeah right! Katsuki! You hearing this?"
Bakugo scoffed at the two behind him. "Just shut up already! Don't you idiots have something better to talk about?"
"Yeah you're probably right. If we continue talking about this he might start to think she's real."
"Hey!" The guy shoves his friend semi-playfully. "Let's go right now I'll show you!"
Luckily enough he didn't have to drag his friends all the way to the pizzeria. Not when Y/n was in her school uniform just crossing the street, heading towards them. He couldn't place what school went with that uniform but with the way it looked on her he almost didn't care.
"Y/n!" He finally called out with a wide smile. The others followed where his attention lead.
'Who?'
Her eyes widened at the sudden attention. How embarrassing to have a name called out of the blue. If Y/n was being completely honest, she had half a mind to turn around and pretend she didn't hear anything.
Unfortunately that would mean finding a new route to work but that would screw up the mental schedule she set up. It's not like she can risk being late again.
'Is he from school?' Her eyes took a scan and made a judgement call of her own. 'No, that's not our uniform.'
"Hey...man?" Y/n went with a causal greeting. Despite the effort of creating a normal conversation, it was clear to him and his friends that she was completely lost.
"It's nice to see you out of work Y/n!" He tried to recover.
'Did I serve him before? Who the hell is this guy?' Too confused to think properly, her natural instinct took over and voiced her thoughts. "Um....Should I know who you are?"
Bakugo tried his best to hold in his snickers before it evolved into a full on laugh. He turned around covering his mouth to help while the other proclaimed friend laughed out loud holding his belly with tears in his eyes to the cashier boy's dismay.
This was the girl he couldn't stop talking about? The one he was sure he had a chance with? A cute girl that didn't even know he existed?
'How pathetic.' The boys thought in unison.
"yeah," He swallowed the last of his confidence. "Kuniumi, I work with you at the Pizza joint? I was actually the one that directed you to the boss."
"Oh. Oh," Y/n's face started to flush. Finally recognizing him. "Counter guy."
Kuniumi gave a weak nod. Glancing at his classmates behind him who were slowly leaving their hysterics. He shoved his hands into his pockets for comfort. "Anyway, um,"
They all started subconsciously walking, following Y/n after she caught a glance at the time.
"Our school keeps talking to us about our next move. Y'know highschool and all. I was meaning to ask if you've decided on anything?"
