Agnetha Faltskog was born on April 5th 1945, Anni-Frid Lyngstad was born November 15th 1945. Both girls were born in Narvik, Norway. The girls' mothers, Birgit and Synni were best friends, and so Birgit looked after her since Synni was a single mom.

Because of the war situation the Faltskogs and Lyngstads decided to flee to Sweden, staying briefly in Eskilstuna before settling in Stockholm in 1947, with Anni-Frid's grandmother Agny accompanying her daughter and granddaughter.

Sadly, Synni became very sick and died before Anni-Frida reached her second birthday. Birgit was devastated at the death of her friend, but Agny was willing to step up and raise her granddaughter, while Birgit promised to be there for her whenever she needed to be.

Agnetha's dad, Ingvar was a wealthy businessman and they moved into a nice big house in the city.

Unfortunately, Agnetha's parents divorced when she was 5. But what helped was when a lady  approached her and Anni-Frid in the park, she gave the little girls the gospel.

"The bad news is, we are all sinners. (Romans 3:23.) We all deserve to be punished in hell for our sins. But the good news is, Jesus Christ who is God's Son died on the cross for your sins. He was buried & rose again on the third day to give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4. Romans 6:23.) Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31.) Going to Heaven is a FREE GIFT, so it's not what you do it's what Jesus did. He loves you, and He paid for ALL our sins, past present and future! All you have to do is believe on Him, trust in His finished work."

Both girls believed and instantly got saved. God took care of them.

The girls went to exclusive girls' schools, that had uniforms, and immediately they showed a talent for music! They played the piano very well, and they sang. They were in their choirs at school, and would perform regularly at recitals.

Because Agnetha and Anni-Frid's schools were both exclusive girls' schools, they'd often get together and collaborate. They would be very excited to see each other.

Every Summer the girls would go with their families to Narvik, and that's the only time the girls' guardians allowed them to stay up late, to watch the midnight sun. By blood and by birth, Anni-Frid and Agnetha were both Norwegian girls.
