Chapter 4 - Acceptance

Lili did her best to protect Agnetha from her parents. That very moment, Lili drove Agnetha and Lotta to stay with Lili's sister, Britta. Britta lived in a nice big house with her husband and their two children. They were a well-to-do, but nice couple, and had lots of spare rooms in their home. Agnetha got settled in her room and Lili came to check on her.

"Everything alright?" She asked. Agnetha nodded.

"Thank you so much." Said Agnetha. "For being there for me."

"Don't you worry, Aggie. I'll always be here." Said Lili.

Agnetha was able to sleep relatively well that night because she knew she was surrounded by those who loved her, even if her parents weren't one of those people. It was her step-family, but they were still her family, as they loved and accepted her, unlike her biological parents did neither. The following day, Anni-Frid and her grandmother Agny came to visit Agnetha, and they knew of what happened. But Agnetha was strong, and thought of those who loved her, and they admired her strength.

As they said their goodbyes after a few hours, Agny hugged Agnetha, and told her,

"You are welcome to come and stay with us any time you like." Said Agny.

"Tusen tack, Agny." Said Agnetha. That night, as Agnetha was preparing for bed, Lili handed Agnetha a cup of hot tea, as Agnetha liked tea before bed, so Lili took the liberty of making some.

"Thank you." She said as Lili gave her the tea. "I don't understand my parents, it's like I don't know them anymore."

"Some people can just be very cruel and hateful." Said Lili. "They're too toxic for other people to be in their lives for long."

"I guess you're right. I can't see my parents anymore. Not after what they've done." Said Agnetha.

"I don't blame you. And whatever you decided to do, I'll be there for you. You and Lotta both." Said Lili, putting her hand on Agnetha's arm to comfort her.

"Your Anni-Frid is welcome here anytime." Said Lili before kissing Agnetha on the forehead goodnight.

The following weekend, Anni-Frid was staying at Agnetha's place after the girls were going out dancing. They needed to be accompanied, so Agny accompanied them while Lili's brother-in-law (Britta's husband) drove them to the venue.

It was 1959, so music was excellent during that time. There was Elvis, Peggy Lee, one of Anni-Frid's favorites, and Connie Francis, whom Agnetha loved, etc.

The girls had a wonderful time, and they were greeted by the family when they came home.

"Hi girls, don't you look stunning!" Said Lili's sister, Britta. "Did you have a wonderful time?"

"It was AMAZING, Aunt Britta!" Said Agnetha. "We danced so much we're thirsty now!"

"Oh then I must get you lovely ladies a glass of water each!" Said Britta. Britta was Lili's younger sister, and she too, loved Agnetha like her own, and as a result, Agnetha called her "Aunt Britta".

Aunt Britta gave the girls their waters, and snuck in a sweet snack for them.

Once the girls finished their snacks, they were still high on the adrenaline, as they talked about the dancing at the fun club. They were so happy they kept kissing & cuddling, and that very night they had their first time.
