Chapter 3

Leyton's hand remained on my back the entire time. Sinadya niya bang backless ang dress na ito? Buti nalang at hindi ako mabalahibo kaya hindi masyadong halata ang goosebumps ko.

He noticed, of course, his thumb lightly rubbing my skin as if to soothe it.

Hindi kami bumaba sa parehong floor ng pamilya ko, nagpatuloy ang elevator sa underground at marahan akong iginiya ni Leyton palabas papunta sa sasakyan niya.

Wala akong masyadong alam sa mga sasakyan pero kilala ko ang logo ng itin na sasakyan na hinintuan namin. Rolls Royce. Leyton pressed a key and the car made a beeping sound. He opened the passenger side to let me in before going to the driver side.

Nag-seatbelt ako habang papasok siya ng sasakyan. He started the engine, secured his own seatbelt and started to drive.

"You're graduating next semester, right? Nursing?" basag niya sa katahimikan.

He looks hot driving with one hand on the wheel, his gaze on the road.

Tumingin ako sa kanya at bahagyang sumulyap siya sa'kin.

He smiles, giving me a knowing look. Letting me know I got caught staring.

Iniwas ko ang tingin sa mukha niya at tumingin sa labas.

"Alam mo naman pala, bakit ka pa nagtatanong?"  pa-asik na sagot ko.

The least I want is to acknowledge his masculine beauty. He can be handsome and I can not like it. Mind over matter.

He chuckles, his demeanor relaxed. "Fine, we'll talk about something else then. Where do you want to live? I already have a house but let me know if you want to live somewhere else. Do you have any preference when it comes to interior design?" Kaswal na tanong niya.

Agad na napatitig ako sa kanya.

Live? Di ko alam bakit ako gulat. It didn't occur to me that we had to live together after the wedding. I was only focused on worrying about losing my freedom and the pain due to my parents' betrayal.

He glanced at me when I didn't answer. "What, you didn't think we'd live together, Kitten?" natatawang sabi niya.

I glared. "Stop calling me that."

He chuckled, his face transforming completely. Beautiful. This man is dangerous. Too dangerous.

"Why not? You're as soft as a kitten and feisty," he licks his lips. "I bet you have claws, too. I'm looking forward to it."

Hindi nakawala sa'kin ang ibig niyang sabihin. Agad na nag init ang mukha ko.

"I want to continue living with my family." anunsiyo ko.

"No can do. I don't want to move into your house so you're coming to mine," he responded. Again, with finality.

"What's the point of asking if you have it all figured out already?" naiinis na sambit ko.

"I wanted to let you choose our home, but I guess you don't want that. We'll live in my house." pasya niya.

"Not that I can say no when you already planned everything," sarkastikong sagot ko.

He didn't respond and continued driving.

I just want to lay in my bed and dream about a different life.

He parks the car in a secluded over-looking area and I immediately look at him in panic.

"Anong-"

Mabilisang tinanggal niya ang seatbelt ko, inatras ang upuan niya at hinawakan ako sa magkabilang baywang para ipatong sa kandungan niya.
