MENTOR (request)

Being a member of BTS and a mentor on Produce 101 is harder. Cuz sometimes I get angry too but I can't exactly let it loose. Instead I've to calm myself and point out their mistakes.

My fellow mentors at Produce 101,

JeA, Kim Sung-eun, Lee Seok-hoon, Shin Yoo-mi, Lee hong-gi, Soyou THE VOCAL MENTORS

Bae Yoon-jeong, Kwon Jae-seung, Choi Young-jun, May J Lee, Kahi  THE DANCE MENTORS

Cheetah, Hwang Dong-hyun THE RAP MENTORS.

I was part of the vocals but sometimes i helped the dance and rap mentors too. The trainees loved me, i could tell....but was scared of me as well, which i think is good.

This year it was a for girl trainees to shine from different entertainments. we chose 101 trainees from which only 11 will survive. The process is very hardcore and the trainees who aren't selected...i could see the pain and defeat in their eyes. some become more motivated, and some completely break down. It's hard to watch, but it's all part of life.

"YAH you're pronunciation is not clear. open your mouth and sing clearly"

"y-yes ma'am" 

i scolded a trainee as her voice was wavering a lot.

"OI move your body with the song, try to become one with the song"

i scolded a trainee that was on the dance team

"oi (y/n) calm down....it's only starting" May said and i let out a sigh

Days passes like this. vocal practices, dance practices, rap practices.

Sometimes i'd have to go back to the dorms just to de-stress myself with my family. Jin would pamper me with food and kookie, tae and jimin would come and play games with me. The next day i'd have to go back.

But it was fun there too...some trainees would be total dorks and goof around but while they're practicing they become serious which i really like.

"(y/n) unnie if we're not selected...will u be sad for us?" 

a girl named Aerum said. Currently we'll were sitting in a circle after our dance practice was over to simply relax and gossip.

i chuckled and looked at my hands "of course silly...i'll miss u all...you guys r really sincere when u practice, and it reminds me of the times when i was a trainee myself. those were hard days, many days i had the thought of quitting" i said and the whole dance group started gasping even the other mentors.

May pulled me in a hug and patted my head " i'm so glad u didn't quit. we've an amazing, powerful woman who is a inspiration to all these female trainees and idols." she said all the female trainees nodded their heads "we'll she's a symbol of women empowerment, and us male idols all respect her a lot too" Kwon-oppa said and Choi-oppa agreed to his words.

"so (y/n) what'll u do after your contract ends?" Bae-unnie asked "well i haven't thought that far yet..but i surely think of something." i said.

"(y/n) unnie...we're very grateful for u teaching us" a girl named Bomi spoke up "oi thank the other mentors too or they'll get jealous" i said giggling and the other mentors looked at the girl "yes...where is our 'thank u'?" kwan-oppa nagged "eh...we're thankful to u too..thank u forl giving us the training we need before we become good idols" another girl spoke up.

That day, all the mentors decided to go for a small celebration, which had lots of food in it. 

"EXCUSE ME WE'LL NEED LOTS OF SPICY FRIED KOREAN CHICKEN WITH BEERS" Choi-oppa yelled 

Well we didn't went to a posh restaurant, instead we went to a small diner which selled chicken recipes.

After our order arrived we all dug in our food..some people ordered some extra stuff and i also ordered some jangjangmyeon to go with everything. May- unnie and Kahi-unnie wanted some noddles so i  shared some with them...i steered clear from the beer as i've low tolerance so i ordered me some cococola.

Suddenly Hoongi-oppa stood up with his beer mug in air "To our most hardworking and youngest mentor (y/n) we wish you'll continue to grow and become more succesful in life" 

"CHEEEEEERSSSSS" everybody yelled and here i was watching with my face stuffed with noodles and some even out of my mouth. JeA- unnie pointed my confused shocked stated and everyone started cooing and i instantly grew embarrassed and finished my noddles.

Our 'Party' ended almost at midnight and some of the mentors walked me back to the dorms. 

Being a mentor is hard. But it came with lots of new memories too.
