It had been several months, and it was the first day of fall. They had gotten a lot closer, and loved doing activities together. However, Starburst occasionally would have an episode if he heard a loud abrupt sound, and Igloo would still have constant nightmares and fright of other bitties. Y/n still couldn't get them to tell her what was wrong. She never pushed it, because she knew what it was like. Today, they were going on a walk at a state park, and then set up a tent and camp. It would be a lot cooler then it would be in the summer, but the trio wanted a challenge. They had all the gear required, and were ready. Mom was going to let them go by themselves, because she wanted them to bond more without her there, and she was really busy with work since she was a single mother.
Y/n POV
"Let's go!" I cheered happily. "YeaH, I'm eXcIted tO sEe wHaT tHiS "marsHmalloW" thing is," Igloo said curiously. They were saying bye to their mother as they chatted excitedly. "Bye you three," Mom said endearingly to us. "ByE!" Igloo and I said in unison. We had gotten a lot closer since the trip we had together and he was going to start his lessons next week with other bitties. He was quite nervous, but I would help him out as much as I could. "y/N?!" Igloo said loudly making me snap out of my thoughts. Mom had apparently already left, and I had been spacing out for the last three minutes. "Sorry guys!" I said apologetically. "It's fIne, bUt plEAse doN't do tHat agAin. we were worried abou..." Igloo mumbled. I couldn't here the last part. "What?" I asked. "NotHing," Igloo said grumpily like his core trait. "Ok, well let's get everything set up. Igloo, me and you were going to set up the tent. Starburst, you were going to cook right?" I said. Starburst wrote "Yup! I'll set up all the utensils and start making some sandwiches!" in his notebook. "Kay," I called as me and Igloo ran over to the designated spot to start setting up the tent. We then set it up with Igloo helping me with his strings. Suddenly Starburst teleported onto my shoulder and I jumped slightly. I saw him look at me apologetically, with his almost always nervous eyelights. He had been getting so much better from his at first emotionless stance when he first came home with me. I snapped out of my thoughts once more and said "It's okay! let's go and eat before we go hiking!" I said happily. He nodded happily and we went back to the picnic table where Starburst had made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. "Thanks, so much Starburst!" I said excitedly as I literally dove into the sandwiches. "YOu reMiNd mE oF ApPlE," Igloo said teasingly. "I will take that as a compliment!" I said laughing. Starburst smiled before starting to eat his sandwich. "YoU nEeD tO gO to oNe oF thOsE sHoWs tHat I sAw on tV. TherE wErE oneS ThAt hAd diFfeRent cOokinG thEmes tHat had cOoking chAlLengeS. YoU wouLd definitely wIn, with alL thAt dElicious sTufF yOu make At hOmE," Igloo said. "Thanks," Starburst wrote down as he hid a small embarrassed blush. I fangirled internally at this. "We ought to get going on our hike, guys!" I said.
We had been walking in the forest for awhile, and it was really beautiful vibrant green color. Starburst looked around from my shoulder in awe as we walked down the sometimes rocky trails. Since Igloo was still too nervous to touch me, he had to use his strings to get over some of the rocks. We saw a flash of orange go across the path and Starburst teleported down to the ground. He held a bony finger up to his mouth to silence us before he disappeared. I looked around frantically trying to see where Starburst had gone, but I couldn't couldn't find him. "DoN't woRry, hE'lL bE bACk soOn," Igloo said trying to reassure me. In a few moments we saw a small fox come out in front of us almost silent. Starburst was on the sleek silky foxes back and smiled gently at us gesturing his hand to the fox proudly. The foxes deep brown eyes gazed up at us, and I was in shock at the sight. I knew that Dream bitties were good with animals, but not THIS good. The small fox trotted around in a circle before laying down for Starburst to have a safe dismount from the vixen's furry back. Without a word the vixen disappeared into the woods by the trail. Igloo's eyelights became stars and mine would have too if they could. "How did you do that?!" I said amazed. "I don't know" Starburst wrote down. "WelL thAt's sO cooL!" Igloo screeched just as amazed as me. Starburst blushed before teleporting onto my shoulder to continue the hike.
We decided to go to the small store that the campground had to buy chocolate, because we had forgotten to bring some. We were walking through the iles, (I don't know how to spell that ;-;) when I saw a boy with black hair. He had what seemed to be a Baby Blue bitty on his shoulder. The boy seemed very shy along with his bitty. The bitty had a mint green jacket and a light blue bandana. He had many scars on his body and seemed very nervous. Starburst looked over and smiled at the bitty, before continuing to look for the small chocolate section. The moment Igloo made eye contact with the small bitty he froze, and his face became distorted into a look of shock, fright, sadness, and anger mixed into one.
Then he crashed...Hi! Sorry this is a day late, I just wanted to work on it longer. The camping theme is for my friend HappySnaps who loves camping. Sorry not sorry for the cliffhanger >:3
