Rita(RiRi)POV:

I walk in my office and sit down exhausted. I've never performed a surgery like that and that is so long. Did it have to be Red? I groan, but I guess in that moment it didn't matter what he did to me, all I knew was I had to to my best to save him.

I sigh, rubbing my stomach. I did everything in my power to save him, I really did. I'm so hungry, my feet are throbbing, I'm feeling cold, I have a headache, my body is painful. Ugh! Being pregnant. I just want to go home and have a nice hot bath and sleep.

Someone knocks on my door. I sigh, please go away. I silently pray no one needs me.

"Come in."

The door opens and a male nurse walks in. "You look exhausted doctor. You should go home."

I sigh and nod. "I really do. I hope I can drive. Do you need something?"

"You should rest a little on one of the hospital beds. You can always drive in the morning."

I smile. "That's actually a great idea. Thank you."

"You welcome. Mr Hamilton's family just arrived a few minutes ago."

I smile and get up. "Finally. Thank you Josh." We both leave my office and go our separate ways. I go to the waiting room. When I get there his mom and sister are crying. Red's mom is crying in August's arms as he tries to calm her down. His sister is crying in Aaron's arms. My heart hurts for them. I clear my throat.

"Mrs. Roberts, I am Doctor Jones and I'm the one who was performing the surgery on your son."

She wipes her face. "How is he? How's my darling, baby boy?"

"If you could follow me to my office please. Both you and Miss Gates."

She nods. "Can August and Aaron come too?"

I sigh and smile. "You can bring one of them."

Please don't bring August. "Come August." The girl says. Great. I turn and they follow me, Mrs Roberts walking next to me.

"You must be exhausted, being pregnant and performing such a long surgery."

I nod. "I am. I was waiting for you, before I could leave."

She smiles a small smile. We walk in my office and I go around to sit down. They all seat down in the three chairs.

I pull out his file from one of my drawers. I open it. "So, he was shot ten times. Four times in the abdomen, three times on his left side, once in his chest and two times on his left shoulder."

Mrs. Roberts starts sobbing. I purse my lips and pull out a box of tissues. I hand them to her daughter. I wait for her to calm down. We wipes herself and clears her throat. "It's ok. I understand. Now, we were able to take out all of this bullets and save him-"

They both start crying. I look up, trying to stop my tears from falling down my face. I clear my throat and look at August. He is looking down. I frown, is he crying? My heart softens and a little part in me starts to feel bad for how I treated them a few hours ago.

"Thank you. Than-thank you. My baby is alive." Mrs Roberts sobs. Miss Gates smiles at me. I smile back. Now I have to give them the bad news. August wipes his face and his eyes are bloodshot red. I clear my throat.

I yawn. Gosh how embarrassing. "I'm sorry." I apologize. "Its alright. Can we see him?" Miss Gate says.

"Not yet. There is still more news."

They nod. "One of the three bullets that hit his side, hit his spinal cord. When he wakes up, he will be paralyzed, from the neck down. He is also in a coma, that is how we are keeping him alive."
