3 weeks later

Lauren POV:

"You lie."

I shake my head, pacing the room. "I really wish I was. This is going to break her. She really loves him and I don't know how I'm going to tell her."

She raises her eyebrows. "Girl, stay away from Aug and his business. He warned you, didn't he? One thing I know about August is that he is honest, no matter how heartbreaking the news are, he will tell you. He will tell her, if he hasn't already."

I sigh. "I don't know. I would want my friend to tell me such news. Nicki hates liars."

"You not lying to her, you are just not telling her. It's not your place and at least wait a while and see what happens. Aug will kill you. Remember, you mean nothing to him."

She gets up and hugs me. "Listen, girl, I have to go. I have an appointment with my manager about a gig this weekend. I'll call you."

I nod and hug her back. "Ok, I love you. Call me!"

"I love you, too and I will!" She yells back, closing the door on her way out. I sigh and run my fingers through my hair. This is a hot mess. I sit up when I hear my phone ringing, grabbing it, I answer without looking at the caller ID.

Phone conversation starts

Me:" yeah?"

???:" girl, that's how you answer my calls?"

I slightly chuckle, lying down on the couch.

Me:" hey girl, sorry. Just tired. How are you doing? You sound cheery."

Nicole:" that's cause I am. I have some awesome news. Before I tell you, are you ok?"

I nod as though she can see me.

Me:" yeah girl, just exhausted, that's all."

Nicole:" I'm pregnant!!"

The call goes silent.

What?

Nicole:" uh, say something."

Me:" its August's?"

Nicole:" of course it is!"

I frown. I wish I was happy for her. I mean I am happy, but I would be more happy if I didn't know what I know, but I know what I know, so I can't be happy like I should be.

Things are going so perfectly for her, while they aren't going oh, so perfectly, you know?

Me:" I'm happy for you. I'm just shocked, that's all. Does August know?"

Nicole:" yes, but he didn't seem to happy. I don't know."

Of course he isn't happy, but he was over the moon when he found out about Rita being pregnant.

I shake my head.

Me:" I'm sure he is also shocked...

Rita(RiRi)POV:

I wobble down the stairs, going to the kitchen. I am so exhausted. I don't go to work anymore, I'm always home and now, August, has called this young girl- well, technically, she's not young, she's older than me by five years, but she is still young.
