A/n: Okay why was vocal line's school name so difficult to figure out?? For no apparent reason at all too. Anyways, this is inspired by a manga I'm reading and I wanted to write a sports au. This isn't that good though :(

"Yah! Leave my sister alone," Yoongi yelled as Hoseok wrapped his arm around your shoulder.

"You're so overprotective Hyung, she's my friend too," he sighed before removing his arm.

"We should be focusing on getting to the gym," Namjoon sighed, "Let's go Captain."

Yoongi rolled his eyes as he grabbed the ball bag, "Alright guys. This is the game that determines if we make it to regionals. We cannot lose, we all have to play this game like it's our last; for some of us, it is."

"We got this you guys! Zero High has nothing on us," you cheered them on, "Cypher High is going to become the best high school basketball team in Korea!"

"Yeah," the boys cheered as you all marched into the school.

You could see their students glare as you all walked down the school's halls, the boys ignoring it and talking amongst themselves. It's not like you expected a friendly welcome with your rival school, you were used to seeing their glares after these past three years. Even though you've only been the team's manager for two years, you've still gone to see your older brother's games. You were undoubtedly Yoongi's biggest fan, supporting him when your parents didn't even want to. Maybe that's why he was so protective of you, but you two definitely had a strong bond. It was only natural you would bond with everyone on the team as well, being the captain's little sister and all. You were actually only friends with the team, as sad as that seemed. Your two closest friends were Kim Namjoon and Jung Hoseok, your fellow second-years who you spent all your time with.

"Y/n" you heard Yoongi call you over, "We're going to be hanging around in the locker room, you'll be fine staying in the gym for a while right? Or just hanging around here? If not, I'll just hang outside here with you."

You laughed as you watched the other guys walk into the locker room while yelling, knowing Yoongi wanted to go inside too, "I'm not 5 anymore Yoongi. Go inside and have fun with your team, they need their captain."

Yoongi grinned as he ruffled your hair, "Don't get lost okay? We'll be in the gym soon enough."

You nodded as you tried to fix your hair, watching your brother go inside and laugh with his teammates. Soon enough, the door closed and you were left on your own. You wouldn't have minded as much if it wasn't the rival school. You just sighed as you started walking towards the gym, planning to sit and wait there so you won't have to interact with the students. For the past two years, you've watched your brother lose to Zero High's basketball team and you grew a hatred for them too, your brother's rivalries becoming your own. Zero High was definitely better off than Cypher High, everyone considered it the most prestigious school in the area. A private school and a public school being rivals, the worst kind of rivalry. It wasn't just sports, but grades and wealth. Your school might be better at academics, mostly thanks to Namjoon, but you were tied in sports. However, you all instantly lost when it comes to wealth and they just so happened to love bragging about it.

"Stupid rich kids," you sighed as you opened the doors to the gym, not seeing anyone inside.

You took a seat on your side of the court and pulled out the team's stats book, admiring how much you all have grown since the start of the season. At first, you joined the team to solely support Yoongi and spend more time with him, planning to quit when he graduated. However now, you loved the idea of being their manager and are looking forward to next year's season, even if you don't have Yoongi right beside you.
