The Virus

Chapter One (The beginning)

It was a warm and sunny day in Spencer, Michigan on May 25, 2022.

 "I can't wait," Beth said over the phone.

"Me neither, I have some plans for us tonight maybe a movie night but I haven't fully decided yet but I cant wait to see you. I will be there soon I'm just finishing up here and finish helping out Mathew with some things, He is the new co-worker I was telling you about but I will be there shortly" George said as he was picking up his stuff on his desk. 

He was a scientist at Golfrege university, It was an hour away from Spencer which is where Beth and he lived. When he was packing up he heard giggly and another man's voice over the line it was very faint so he couldn't understand what it said.

" shh be quiet," Beth said quietly.

" Who else is there with you Beth?? Are you not alone why did it sound like another man's vo......". 

"It's the TV. George, Supernatural is on..." she said as she cut him off not wanting to hear him ramble.

 "Oh... OK...I have to finish up picking up here I will see you later I guess I Love you" George said hoping she was telling the truth and not cheating on him again but this time on their anniversary. 

"Love you too," Beth said back. 

Beth was at home with George's Best friend Mike. She lied to him and she knew it but she didn't care she was sick of him being at work all the time and she started to get lonely so she would invite Mike over. Beth had feelings for Mike but wanted to hide it fromGeorge. George finally finished cleaning up and started to head home.

 It was 6:00 and it was starting to get dark out. George called Beth at 5:30 and he told her that he was gonna call her at 6 and so he did.

"Hello?" Beth answered 

"Hey I have to bring home some stuff for a science project for Mathew. I will be there around 7 OK?"

 "OK take your time there's no rush love you Bye," she said before George could answer back which was strange but he thought nothing of it because he thought maybe she was getting ready for tonight.

 An hour has passed and George finally made it home but when he got in the driveway he saw his best friend Mike's car there and he knew something was up, as I got out of my car I could see Beth and Mike through the window and at this point I was getting back in my car and taking a drive around for 10 minutes and when I returned Mike's car was gone.

 He tried to shrug it off like it was nothing but he knew Beth was cheating on him, He just didn't want to admit it. He didn't want to ruin their anniversary so he didn't say anything but he did do something.

 "Well I didn't bring this stuff home for no reason," George said to himself while looking at a bag of Viles that were inside of it. He hated the thought of him trying to drug her and make her not herself so Mike wouldn't like her, But he knew he had to do something about it yet he didn't want to ruin their relationship. 

Just as he was about to enter his house he gets a text from his son Greg

 ~Hey dad just wanted to say Happy anniversary to you and Beth hope you guys have a good night;)~

 George smiled at the text his son sent him and texted him back saying 

~We will ;}~.

 Once he entered his house he was greeted with a warm hug from Beth, She smiled but she seemed a bit off. George hoped she didn't see him see them through the window. He closed the door behind him and said: 

"I'm home, Are you ok??"

 "Ya I'm fine I just woke up from a nap" She replied.

 Once she said that he knew she was lying because she never takes naps. He was gonna ask her why Mike was there then he thought

 'No she has done this before to me and I'm not gonna let her get away from it this time'

 he went to the living room and sat down on the couch and watched a little of the news before he asked her to pick a movie for them to watch. He set the lights and made some popcorn and got them some wine to enjoy through the movie but in her wine, he put a mixture of drugs in that he had brought home and a couple of other drugs in Beth's wine hoping for it to change her so Mike wouldn't either be able to take her or just not like her anymore but he wanted to do it so she wouldn't know. He brought out the drinks and gave her hers, She took a sip and nothing happened so he thought nothing probable wouldn't happen. 

Two weeks have passed and there have been a couple of different signs here and there but nothing major,.. till one day. It was June 8th, 2022. George came home from work early and to his surprise when he got home Beth was still sleeping he thought that was strange because she never sleeps in till 4 or takes any naps, So he woke her up expecting her to wake up fully and to his surprise, she didn't wake up. She was still breathing though but she wasn't moving. 

"Y-your home e-early to- today," She said tiredly.

" Ya, are you feeling alright??" George ask.

" No, I can't move i-i feel s-sick and I cant st-stand or move" she replied to him,

 When she said that George's, eyes widened. He started to regret what he had done out of anger. George had to quit being a scientist because he had to start taking care of Beth. Beth ended up going to the hospital because she was so sick and she was paralyzed and she threw up every hour. Soon enough George started getting sick and after Beth had died from whatever was created George died. He died a fast death. 

Soon after their deaths George's son, Greg found out about their deaths, and let's just say he didn't take it too well, He found out they were dead before anyone else did, He ended up getting a parasite that his dad had ended up creating by accident but he didn't know it yet. He started to go from sane to insane in a matter of weeks, and he slowly turned into a worldwide killer and he killed whoever he thought was sick to try and stop it from spreading around but that didn't help at all and he knew it he just ended up to be the worlds most wanted Homicide killer and he always got away with murdering innocent people no one knew how he wasn't caught yet.

A/N: I'm still working on chapter two it will be uploaded soon but please just tell me what you think of it and if you think it's good this took me two whole days to work on and come up with ideas and how it will work so please help me out. {Reuploaded 8/3/2021 I tried to fix some things to make it sound better in a way and well not much changed but its still the same and its still cringy but the upcoming parts get better tho.}
