How he proposes: "I would like to introduce our new Transfigurations professor aid, (Y/F/I). Evans and our new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Professor S. Snape," says Albus Dumbledore to the Hogwarts students at the welcome back dinner. "I hope you give them a warm welcome" he continues to say, and with that a round of applause was given for you and Severus. You and Severus stand up and acknowledge the students. You sit down but Severus remains standing once the applause dies down. As everything quieted down Severus says "I have an announcement, (Y/N) can you come here please" you make your way over to Severus. "Ever since you defended me against the Marauders I kept on falling more in love with you, and now that we are back at Hogwarts I feel like I'm home, you make me feel home," he says once you were standing in front of him. Professor McGonagall just smiles. The girl students and the female professors awe and you give him a warm smile as a tear rolls down your cheek thinking about the torture Severus had to go through because of James and his gang. Severus gets down on one knee "(Y/N) will you marry me?", he asks. "Yes!", you say and the the whole dinning hall erupts with applause and hoots and hollers. Severus slides the ring on your finger and you two hug since you had a student audience. The applause didn't matter to you, all that mattered was that when you're with Severus Snape you were home.
