"Tsukimori-kun!"
Yui yelled from across the music room that both children were practicing in.
Yui's eyes, were so large and green, and they always flickered brightly under the light. Her hair was a nice flowing black hair, which never really tangled up.
This attracted Len Tsukimori to a great extent, even as children.
However, he remained calm and collected on the outside, knowing that he had high expectations placed on him to constantly do well in violin competitions.
"Yes?" The small Len Tsukimori, who had beautiful blue hair and brown eyes, looked at his childhood friend in response, despite coming forward coldly.
"S-sorry! Am I disturbing your violin practice?" Yui placed a hand behind her head sheepishly.
"Not at all."
Len Tsukimori smiled at the bubbly, cheerful girl in-front of him. In fact, he was happy that she came to see him play the violin again. It was the only thing that he looked forward to in the midst of all the pressure of doing well.
"You play the violin very well, Tsukimori-kun!" Yui smiled very brightly at her childhood friend.
"But one day, I will beat you! Just you wait!" She did a "two" sign playfully and ruffled his hair.
"So, see you!" Yui ran away playfully and stuck a tongue out at Tsukimori, who was dumbfounded in surprise at her action, somewhat.
He watched the girl run out of the music room happily, while he touched his hair unknowingly and blushed slightly.
Beat me... huh. Tsukimori thought to himself.
"What an interesting girl," Young Tsukimori said unknowingly.

"I hate you, Tsukimori-kun!"
Yui clenched her fist tightly and tears welled up in her eyes. It was the first time she cried in front of Tsukimori, which surprised him greatly.
"You always do well! You always win all the competitions!" She continued yelling at the shocked Len Tsukimori, who was holding on to the trophy of the grand violin championships.
But he kept quiet, and hid his face underneath his fringe.
"How is it that every time I practice so hard for every competition, and every time I try my best, you always beat me to it without even breaking a sweat?! It's not fair!"
The girl wept, and crumbled to her knees in front of the boy.
But Len Tsukimori, at that point in time, lacked social skill, and he didn't know how to respond to her sudden breakdown.
He was constantly awkward in situations like these, and it didn't help that it was the girl he really admired breaking down in front of him and hurling hurtful words to him.
You are the best, Utsugi-chan.
Was what he wanted to say.
You always try your best.
You always fight hard in every competition.
You have a fighting spirit which I will never have.
These were the words in his heart.
The young Len Tsukimori wanted her to know that he envied her 'never say die' attitude.
Because it always seemed that he always won, and it was only due to his natural skill and talent, which he has developed over the years.
But for Yui, she wasn't as lucky, and needed hard work to get to where she was right now.
But did he ever get to say his true feelings?
No.
Because before he knew it, the girl of his childhood dreams, threw her violin in front of him.
The violin crashed on the floor with a loud 'thud' sound.
Yui gave a look of anger at the person who she thought was her rival at that point in time.
Her eyes were filled with hatred.
"I never ever want to touch the violin ever again! And it's all because of you, Len Tsukimori!"
Yui Utsugi turned back, with tears falling from her eyes, and ran away, never to be seen in another violin competition ever again.
And never to be seen again... by Len Tsukimori.
