Yui Utsugi's POV

It was a week or so after my encounter with the violin.

As we had a public holiday on a Friday and the following Monday, the participants of the concours and myself, were to participate in a training camp.

This training camp was organised because it allowed us to train harder since not everyone had music rooms at the comfort of their own home.

It was held in a holiday villa a few hours' journey away from the main city.

According to Kanazawa-sensei, the villa belonged to one of the music students' family.

Which was why the school used it, since it had music rooms which allowed the participants to practice during the camp.

"Amazing!"

I said as we approached the villa, which seemed like a bungalow in the middle of the forest.

It was the first time I've such a beautiful house, because I wasn't privileged enough to experience it in my youth.

I took a deep breath in and admired the view.

You could even smell the sea breeze as we stood outside the villa.

I was definitely looking forward to this training camp!

Hihara walked beside me and placed an arm around me.

"Hey, Utsugi-chan!"

Woah, that caught me by surprise.

I jolted up in shocked and glanced at Hihara. He looked really happy, which made me smile unconsciously.

"Let's have fun, okay?"

I nodded my head.

"Yeah, let's!"

"Tch."

Someone grunted behind us.

I turned around. Tsukimori frowned, and folded his arms.

"Fun? Don't forget that this is a training camp. We're here to train for the concours."

He said emotionlessly.

W-what a way to say it...

"Y-yeah, but we should have fun in the process, Tsukimori-kun."

I said earnestly, glancing at him from my side.

"Loosen up, would you?" I remarked.

"Easy for you to say. You aren't even in the concours."

W-what the?!

Now... that's not very nice, isn't it!

I was getting annoyed.

"Oi, Tsukimori, what did I do to offend you?" I said angrily.

In response, Tsukimori looked away from my eye contact.

After a momentary pause, he brushed past Hihara and I with brutal hostility and walked into the villa.

"What the..."

I stared at Tsukimori in disbelief.

"I can't believe him!" I said out loud and folded my arms defiantly.

"Yeah, I heard he's always like this in school." Hihara said.

I looked at Hihara and gave him a questioning frown.
