Mr. Aizawa ran in quick into the hospital. Bakugo had called him 20 minutes earlier to describe what happened. Bakugo was in the waiting area, his foot tapping against the floor tiles. Mr. Aizawa approached him. "How is he?" He asked, visibly out of breathe. Bakugo looked up at Mr. Aizawa with worry in his eyes. "I'm not sure, the doctors took him in about an hour ago and we haven't had an update yet."

Mr. Aizawa took a seat next to Bakugo, looking at the door that the doctors usually come out of. "So how did this happen again?"

"I'm not sure what led up to the attack, I just know I was walking back to the dorms from visiting my parents when I heard screaming from an alleyway. I went to go check it out, and I saw three men trying to mug Deku." Bakugo replied, twiddling his thumbs nervously. "And then, there was a kid that was with them. The piece of shit used his quirk against Deku, and he looks like he's a 4-year old now."

Mr. Aizawa frowned and thought about Bakugo's answer. Just then, a doctor walked through the door and approached them. "Are you two with Izuku Midoryia?" He asked, looking between Bakugo and Mr. Aizawa. They nodded and began to stand when the doctor raised his hand up, signaling for them to wait.

"I can only bring one of you back there right now. He is in stable condition physically, but not so much mentally." The doctor told them. Bakugo looked up at Mr. Aizawa, "You're the teacher, you should go in, check on him." Bakugo said, sitting back into his chair. Mr. Aizawa nodded and followed the doctor through the door and into a hallway. They walked about halfway down the hallway before the doctor stopped in front of a door. "Okay, he's right in here. Try not to make any loud noises, it scares him."

Mr. Aizawa thanked the doctor and turned to the door, slowly turning the door knob. He pushed the door open slowly, revealing a hospital bed with a small child sitting in the farthest corner of it. Aizawa walked in slowly, pulling the door shut behind him and watching the child closely.

"Midoryia?" Aizawa said, walking slowly towards the child. The kid flinched and backed up further into the corner. "Hey, it's okay. I won't hurt you." Mr. Aizawa assured him, putting his hands up to show that he wasn't going to touch him. The corner the boy was in was not well lit so Aizawa couldn't get a clear look at his face until he came a little closer to the light. Aizawa sat at the foot of the bed, and patted next to him. "It's okay, I promise." He said softly.

The boy looked at Aizawa in confusion, before creeping away from the corner he was in. As he got closer to Aizawa, Aizawa was able to make out the characteristics of the boy in more detail now. The boy had shaggy green hair with freckles and pale skin. He had a bandage wrapped around his waist along with a couple wrapped around his arms. Geez kid... what did they do to you? Aizawa thought to himself.

Midoryia drew closer to Aizawa until eventually sitting down about two feet away from him, looking at the ground. "Do you know who I am?" Aizawa asked him. Izuku shook his head slowly, still looking down. Aizawa let out a sigh, looking at his injuries.

"May I?" Aizawa asked, pointing to the bandages. Izuku nodded softly, still not making eye contact. Aizawa came closer and inspected the bandages closely. He then looked back up at Izuku. "Do you remember who did this?"

Izuku once again shook his head. He yawned tiredly and laid his head in Aizawa's lap, closing his eyes and dozing off. Aizawa smiled sadly at Izuku, sitting there with him until he completely fell asleep. Once Izuku was asleep, Aizawa lifted him off his lap and set him back down on the bed, putting a blanket over him. He then walked out of the room where the doctor was waiting for him in the hallway.

"How long is he supposed to stay like that?" Aizawa asked, looking through the window to Izuku's room to see him sleeping peacefully. The doctor shook his head, "The poor kid's going to be stuck like that for at least a month. If he hadn't sustained injuries before hand or had maybe not have gotten such a high intensity of the quirk then it might have been shorter."

Aizawa let out a sigh, "When can we bring him home?" The doctor looked at Izuku's charts before looking back to Aizawa. "Within a couple of days." The doctor said, closing his binder with Izuku's information. "I'll alert his mother then." Aizawa responded.

He looked back at Izuku. Had he always looked so fragile? Aizawa thought to himself. I'll take it upon myself to watch over him until he's recovered, and maybe some of the students will help with sleeping arrangements.

Aizawa walked down the hallway and back to the waiting room where Bakugo was still sitting in his chair, staring at the door as if he had been waiting for Aizawa to come back that whole time. The moment Bakugo saw Aizawa come through the door he shot out of his seat and went to him. "How is he? Is he okay?" Bakugo asked Aizawa, trying to read his expression. Aizawa told him everything that the doctor said and how Izuku was gonna need time to heal properly before he could be his old self again.

"I should go back there then. If Deku couldn't remember who you were, then maybe he just has the memories he had when he was four, and he would definitely know me. We've known each other since we were in diapers." Bakugo started going past Aizawa, towards the door when Aizawa stopped him.

"We will need to ask the doctors if that is okay first." Aizawa was holding onto Bakugo's arm as he led him back to his seat. "I'll ask them, you wait here." Bakugo growled quietly as Aizawa left to find a doctor. It took a couple of minutes but finally a doctor came with Aizawa and helped escort Bakugo to Izuku's room.

"Please don't try to scare the kid." Aizawa warned Bakugo, knowing how he's acted around Izuku while in class. Bakugo gave him a look. As if I would hurt him in the shape he is in, Bakugo thought to himself, pissed off. He entered the room slowly and shut the door behind him. Izuku was still sleeping when he first opened the door but woke up to the sound of the door closing. He yawned tiredly and looked up at Bakugo with wide eyes.

Was he really this small when we were kids?

Bakugo slowly raised his hand and waved at Izuku, trying to get some kind of reaction out of him. That's when Izuku jumped out of his bed so fast that Bakugo was scared he would hurt himself again. Izuku grabbed onto Bakugo's leg tightly and held onto it as he looked up into Bakugo's eyes, tears pouring down his face.

"K-Kacchan? What's happening? What am I doing here? A-And why are you sooo.... tall?" Young Izuku said, hiccuping in between his sentences as more tears came.

"Hey buddy, it's fine. You're fine." Bakugo calmed the boy down, picking him up carefully, trying not to touch one of his injuries. Bakugo sat down on the bed with Izuku leaning against his side.

"I was s-so scared. I d-don't know anyone here." Izuku said, still holding on tight to Bakugo's shirt.

"Well I'm here now." Bakugo said, smiling softly at Izuku, who was already beginning to fall asleep again. Aizawa watched the two boys from the window. I didn't know Bakugo had a soft side, Aizawa muttered to himself. He turned his attention to Izuku, who was now laying with his head against a pillow as Bakugo left the room. Bakugo turned to Aizawa after coming out of the room and shutting the door, "So... Am I telling the class or are you?"
