Adjusting

Everybody in Class 1-A whispered amongst themselves as the bell rang for class to start. They had been worrying about Izuku all week after Bakugo told them all what happened. It had been a little over a week since Izuku was admitted into the hospital so that meant he would be discharged any day now. Todoroki seemed to be hit especially hard by the news, looking for any clues or leads he could find that could help bring the three guys who had mugged Izuku to justice. 15 minutes passed since the first bell rang and Mr. Aizawa still hadn't shown up to class.

"Where do you think he is?" Mina asked curiously, leaning back comfortably in her chair, not minding having no school work to do at the moment.

"He probably fell asleep in the teacher's lounge again." Kaminari joked, getting a couple of laughs out of his classmates. Just as they finished laughing, the door to the classroom swung open, Mr. Aizawa standing in the doorway. He looked down towards the bottom half of the door way and seemed to be whispering to someone who was just out of eye-sight. Aizawa then looked up and turned towards the classroom.

"Listen up, we have a special guest joining us today. So I expect you to be on your best behavior. Am I understood?" Aizawa had a certain tone in his voice that seemed more threatening than usual. The class quickly nodded their heads, wondering why Aizawa seemed so uptight this morning. Aizawa then turned back to the doorway and crouching to the floor and holding out his hand.

Awww it's like he has a secret soft side, the class all thought in their heads, watching Aizawa talk quietly to whoever was on the other side of the door. Aizawa then smiled softly and stood up, holding a young boy's hand as they walked over to the teacher's stand. The boy looked at the class with wife eyes before hiding behind Aizawa's leg. The boy had a bandage wrapped around his torso, and a small band-aid stuck to his arm.

"Class, this is Izuku Midoryia." Aizawa said, motioning to the child. The class gasped in shock as some of them got out of their seats.

"No way", Mina said, being the first to walk towards Izuku, "He's so small." She seemed a little too excited as she walked closer to him. Izuku's eyes widened and he let out a small squeak, clutching tighter to Aizawa's leg. A sad expression crossed Mina's face before she turned to Bakugo. "You're right Bakugo, it doesn't seem like he really remembers us very well."

At the mention of Bakugo's name, Izuku loosened his grip on Aizawa and scanned the classroom, his eyes falling on Bakugo's face. Izuku's eyes lit up as he ran forward quickly, almost tripping over some of his classmates' bags, before jumping into Bakugo's lap.

"Kacchan!" Izuku yelled excitedly, before turning to the rest of the class. "Who's your friends?" The whole class awww'd at Izuku, overwhelmed by his cuteness.

Bakugo scoffed, "These guys aren't my friends."
Kirishima put a hand on Bakugo's shoulder. "Way to ruin the moment dude."

Everybody agreed with Kirishima, shooting a look at Bakugo who didn't seem to care. Todoroki looked at Izuku, sadness in his eyes. He turned to Mr. Aizawa, "How long is he supposed to stay like that?"

"He won't be back to his old self for about a month." The class immediately stoped what their doing and looked at Aizawa.

"A month?" Uraraka said, obviously shocked with the news. Aizawa nodded.

"The doctors said first his quirk will come back, then his memories will begin to return, and then he'll go through grow sports til he's back to normal."

"Wait what's gonna happen when he doesn't remember that his quirk is too powerful for him and he gets himself hurt?" Kaminari asked Aizawa.

"I've already informed All Might about the situation who has offered to watch over Izuku once his quirk does resurface."

Flasback

 All Might paced back and forth in the teacher's lounge, Aizawa watching him while sitting in a chair. All Might had a very worried expression on his face and he had his hand up to his mouth while he thought to himself. He turned to Aizawa angrily, "Why didn't you tell me about Midoryia sooner! Out of anybody else here, shouldn't I have been one of the first ones to know about this?" Aizawa stood up, becoming eye level with All Might.

"I know you're upset, but I think its for the best right now if you don't see him." Aizawa said looking All Might in the eye with a serious tone in his voice. All Might's face twisted in anger and shock as Aizawa finished his sentence. "What do you mean I shouldn't see him right now? He needs someone to watch over him while he is in this state!"

"We don't need to overwhelm the kid with too much information at once. His memories are supposed to come back after his quirk returns, so I really think its best if he doesn't see you until his quirk comes back because he doesn't need to be remembering stuff like One for All while he is in this state. It might be too much for him to handle and he might be stuck like this longer." All Might paused for a second, staring at the ground before looking back up at Aizawa. "How do you know about One for All?"

"Seriously? It's obvious the kid has your quirk. Ever since I saw him use his quirk I noticed the similarities almost immediately so you know for a fact the villains must have noticed too, or at least some of them. Not everyone can be that oblivious. Not to mention it's no secret he's your favorite, you don't even try to hide that." All Might had to take a deep breath to steady his breathing as he thought about Aizawa's words. Aizawa sighed and put his hand on his shoulder. "Look, when Midoryia's quirk returns you will be the first one to know because your going to have to make sure he doesn't use it. If he uses that kind of power before he gets his old body back, who knows how much he could damage his body."

All Might nodded, still seeming to try to process that information being given to him. "You're right. We can't risk him regressing, he's already been through so much. If I can't be there for him though, you need to watch over for me."

"Of course I will."

End of Flashback

Aizawa cleared his throat, signalling for the class to quiet down. "Until Midoryia goes into All Might's possession though, he will be staying with all of you in the dorms. You have the rest of the class period to figure out who he will stay with. I'm going to go to sleep but I swear if any of you make him cry or smother him with too much attention and scare him, you will be answering to me."

"Yes Sensai" The class yelled in unison before surrounding Midoryia. 

"Welp, time to figure out who gets to stay with the little guy." Mina said, pinching Izuku's cheek. That's when all hell broke loose.
