This chapter isn't in the movie I just thought I would add a little more Steve x Reader fluff :)
After rescuing the 107th, you and Steve were able to take a small break for a few days. You did deserved it after all. You and Steve were both sitting in a private military dorm that the two of you shared, just chatting about your life before you became super soldiers.
"This all feels like a dream," You say to Steve as you lay on your back on Steve's bed, "I never once thought as a child that I would become some super soldier for America." You roll over onto your stomach and put your hands under your chin and look at Steve who is sitting across from you looking at you with a smile. "What?" You ask him, "Why are you smiling at me?"
"You're just cute, that's all," He responded, still looking at you lovingly. You felt your face heat up and you moved your gaze towards the floor. "Yeah right," You responded. You and Steve had been dating ever since you rescued the 107th. You still remember the exact moment when Steve put his lips onto yours. It was one of the best moments of your life.
"It's true," Steve said and walked over to the bed you were laying on and sat down next to you, "You're one of the best things that's ever happened to me." Steve said, you looked up at him and gave him a smile. You sat up on your bed and huddled closer to Steve. "I can say the same about you, soldier." Steve kissed the top of your head and wrapped his arms around you, "I'm going to say something and you don't have to say it back... you might think it's too early but..." You look up at him quizzically, "What is it Steve?" You ask him.
"I love you."
You froze for a moment and looked up at him, bewildered, "What?"
He gulped and said it again, "I love you."
You blinked, "Y-You love me?" You asked. Steve nodded his head slowly. "This has to be a dream this is too perfect. Pinch me." You said and held out your arm.
"What?"
"Pinch me." You repeated.
Steve chuckled and grabbed your hands and cupped them with his, "This isn't a dream, Y/N. I really love you." You just about had a stroke. You took a second to collect yourself and looked up at Steve and into his baby blue eyes that you always get lost in and said,
"I love you too."
Steve's eyes widened, "You do?" You laughed at this, "Of course I do silly! We've been through so much together, how could I not?" You paused for a moment, "Also, you're very handsome" You teased. Steve rolled his eyes and said, "And you're very beautiful." You snorted and leaned forward and kissed him. The kiss was warm and sweet; your tongue danced across his lips and his did the same to yours.
You two broke apart and you looked into each others eyes, both of your grinning from ear to ear. "We should do that again sometime," Steve said. "Why wait?" You asked, and then connected your lips another time. Let's just say that you two did some... exercising for the rest of the night.
This one was kind of rushed but I wanted to get some sort of a chapter out so you can have something to read. I hope you enjoyed either way!
