. . .
"I'll go ahead. We'll finish the beers outside." he excuses himself and leaves us in the kitchen.
Jacque and I happily enjoy the wine that she got from upstairs while my chests are still pounding so loud and so fast.
"It's good to see him having a good time like that. He's always busy at work and I can barely see him enjoying such time with friends. That's why I really pushed through this celebration."
We made a toss with our glasses and drink on our wine.
"If there is one thing that I am thankful for Jabes, it's his selflessness. He volunteered to stop studying only to help me with Mary Elizabeth's medications. I only wish he'll find a woman that'll take care of him as much as he takes care of us."
"Jabes is very fortunate to have you too Jacque. You're such a loving mother."
Jacque is just happy sharing life experiences with me while we're drinking our wines. She even opens up the topic about his husband cheating. I also shared my experiences with Frazer and we just both laugh with some silly things we've in our past relationships.
We're almost close to emptying the wine bottle when Jabes' friends went inside the door and those loud noises from drunken mouths occupy the spaces of the house.
The three of them is hardly trying their best to carry my poor Enid who looks like a shit.
"What happened?" Jacque and I both ask in chorus and goes to the couch where Enid is lying.
"She's drunk and she passed out." Julius responds.
We were laughing at Enid who is blabbering non sense things about a beer. She's saying it doesn't taste good and she will never drink it again.
"Where are James and Olivia?" Jacque suddenly asks.
"We're here,"
I turn my head to the door where Jabes comes in with Olivia on her arms. He's carrying her like a bride and she still looks gorgeous even with those messy strands of hairs on her face. Jabes places her on one of the couches near Enid.
"Is she drunk too?" his mother asks,
The guys shrug their shoulders.
"I think all the ladies are down tonight except Briella." Hendric looks at me with weary eyes.
"Help these ladies out and go to your rooms too. Let's all take rest. C'mon!" Jacque taps their shoulders.
"Wait? Where are we sleeping?" Joshua asks.
His face looks like a tomato now because his cheeks were very red.
"We have four rooms upstairs but we only tidied up three of them. There's a bed available in the fourth room but I haven't changed my sheets..."
Jacque looks at Jabes and turns to the guys in front of her.
"So...I will just sleep with Mary Elizabeth on the first room and you boys should sleep in James' room next to us. Enid and Briella will sleep in the third room."
