Chapter 30 - Lethner's Service

Winter Season in St. Louis...

I was about to leave our room but I heard the bed creaks and a soft moan escapes from his lips.

"Baby..."

I turn my back and face him. He's lying on the bed naked with a blanket pulled up to his waist. He props on his elbow and rubs his eyes.

After months of being in a relationship with this Adonis in front of me, I never thought that he'll be hotter each day—even with just a piece of blanket on his waist, messy hair, and those weary piercing eyes.

"Where are you going?"

"I'll go for a jog."

I bite my lower lip when he suddenly flips the blanket off from his naked body and stands from the bed. My eyes settle to that proud hard thing in between his hairy legs. My throat suddenly dries up.

"Wear a sweater. It's cold outside." he tediously utters.

"Chin up, baby..." I got totally occupied of that erection saying 'hi' to me that I didn't notice he's already in front.

He lifts up my chin for our eyes to meet. He leans his face closer and gives me a quick peck on my lips.

"You forgot my good morning kiss..."

I tiptoed and kissed him. "Good morning,"

He smiles and kisses my forehead.

"I'll go and take a shower. Don't forget your jacket." I giggle when he pinches me on my waist and pulls down my shorts a bit.

"Jabes," I stop him, "What are you doing?"

"I'm just pulling this thing down. You're fond of wearing shorty shorts. It's freezing cold outside."

I roll my eyes. "Do you want me to change?"

He turns his back and heads to the comfort room.

"My policies are off your body baby. Wear whatever you want. Just be careful when you jog outside. Someone might bump you." he nonchalantly shouts while he's inside the shower.

I smile upon hearing him. I suddenly remember that day we first met.

"What if someone bumps me?" I tease.

"You better be careful who you bumped into. You might end up marrying him." he shoots back. I hear him laughing inside the shower.

"Do you want to jog with me?"

"No, I have to visit the shop."

"Are you going to Heavenly Flowers later?"

"Yeah, I'll check for the deliveries."

I smile. Heavenly Flowers is one of Elizabeth's dreams. She always tells Jabes that she wants a flower shop and she'll name it "Heavenly Flower"

I didn't know that Jabes was already planning to open a business even before he bumped me. He also continued his unfinished course which is Foreign Language and he's graduating this year. Aside from that, he has few other businesses like buying and selling of cars and real estate properties. He always tells me how lucky he was when he met me. He changed because of me.
