. . .

"Call me if you need a friend, Briella." Milky, the lady beside me inside the plane, waves her hand to me.

"I will! Take care! See you around!"

I smile at her before she pulls her luggage. I turn on my phone and a message from Jabes pop up.

[Im sorry I was busy. Will pick u up at the airport.]

I felt my heart skipped a beat.

Jabes is in here?

I don't know what I will do. I wasn't expecting that he'll pick me up in here. I am still here in the arrival area. I bite my slightly shaking lips while feeling the fast beating of my heart. I roam my eyes around the area to find for him but the area is too crowded.

I sent him a message before I look for him again.

[Wer r u?]

After few seconds, he replied.

[Turn around.]

Oh my God!

My longing heart is going wild, racing so loud and so fast. I am suddenly feeling range of emotions attacking me. I feel excited—excited to see him, to hug him, to kiss him. I feel nervous –what if at this time, he'll be cold to me? What if he's mad at me? He's been waiting for me every day at South Grove but I didn't show up because I didn't read his letter.

He just sent me a message and he told to turn around. It means... he's at my back.

He is just freaking behind me!

Should I turn around now?

What would I react then?

What if our eyes meet again?

Should I hug him immediately?

Or should I just say hi?

What am I going to do?

Wait?

Do I still look presentable?

I look at my face on my phone's screen. My ponytail looks okay but some strands of hair escaped from it. I gently tuck them on the side of my ears. I look pale. My eyes are red and still puffy for crying inside the plane. I look haggard. I didn't even had the chance to put some powder. I didn't—oh shit!

My lips parted when I saw a figure of a guy reflecting on the screen of my phone. I shouldn't be mistaken.

That was Jabes' reflection and he's standing right behind me.

And I look like a complete idiot still standing in here. Should I turn and—

"You really have a habit of making someone wait for you..."

I swallow the lump in my throat when I heard that voice and my eyes shut close. My heart felt happy just by hearing him. I wanted to turn around and give him a hug right now but I can't. I am stunned by his presence. My knees are slowly turning into jellies.

"Quinn..."

I slowly turn around and the moment I faced him, it was as if the slow motion effect I've seen on movies suddenly becomes real and it's happening right now. The noises around disappears like a bubble and the only thing that I can hear is the loud beating of my longing heart.
