Chapter fourteen 

"Shoyo, wake up. You have to tell your team you not going to be In practice today!" Hinatas mom yelled from the kitchen. With a groan, Hinata sat up from his sleep. He swung his legs to the edge of the bed and hopped off. He grabbed some clothes from his closet and got dressed. He walked downstairs to greet his mom and little sister. "Good morning" Hinata kissed his little sisters cheeks and his mothers forehead. They were sat at the dinner table eating breakfast. "I'll be right back" he said heading outside "ok, be carful" his mother waved him off. " bye Onii San" natsu giggled out, waving at Hinata.

Hinata hopped on his bike and rode it down the mountain. Halfway through the ride he realized he could have called them instead. He let out a disappointed 'Ugh' and thought to himself that it was to late now. His teachers already knew that he wasn't going to school today but his team didn't.

He locked his bike in place and was off to gym. Outside of the gym he met up with takeda Sensei. "Oh, TAKEDA SENSEI!!." He called out, Startling him. "Oh Hinata-kun, it's just you" he relaxed once he found out who called out to him. "Sorry for scaring you" Hinata rubbed the back of his neck "no, it's ok. So, what did you have to tell me". "Oh, I won't be at practice today or at school at all" Hinata informed him "oh... do you mind me asking why" takeda asked. "Ummm.. well it's kinda personal... it's about my family" Hinata looked down at his feet. "Ohh!, Im so sorry, did I make you upset" he panicked "no no no. It's just that I can't really tell you what it is, but I promise it's a one time thing" Hinata reassured him.

"It's okay don't worry about it" takeda smiled "Now go tell your team" Hinata was getting ready to go inside, but was pulled back. "Wait Hinata- Kun, i have to remind you about something" takeda put a hand on Hinata shoulder to get his attention. Hinata turned around to look at takeda "yes?" He asked.

~Inside the gym~

Sugawara, daichi, and asahi were having a conversation about their plans for next week. Nishinoya walked towards them and put a hand around Asahi. "I told you going out with Hinata was a good idea. Nothing bad happened and we unlocked something for him. The whole team was worried for nothing." Sugawara nodded in agreement. "Yea, I guess fake dating him wasn't so bad" asahi shyly said " by the way did you ever meet his family. I mean you did go over to his house one time." Daichi asked. Asahi shook his head "no, we were alone in the house, but his cooking is amazing" remembering that Hinata cooked his favorite food.

"Oooo, did y'all do something" Nishinoya asked  wiggling his eye brows.

"No w-" "they kissed" Sugawara interrupted Asahi. Nishinoya gasped at asahi "you kissed him and then went to my house, how could you" he said acting hurt, then laughed. "Heheh" asahi laughed at Nishinoyas actions.

"Wait that's who's house you went to that night,  AND AT NIGHT!" Sugawara looked mind blown. Nishinoyas eyes widen after realizing what he said. "Ummm" asahi started nervously "what were you doing at his house at night" Daichi asked in suspicion. "Well...Oh, good morning takeda sensei" asahi greeted takeda who just walked in. Everyone else greeted too, they saw no one else so they got back to the conversation."Are y'all two... a thing?" Sugawara asked.

"No"

"No"

They both said at the same time. "Then what were y'all doing" Sugawara pushed forward. Nishinoya sighed in defeat "asahi was stressing out about the whole 'dating' Hinata, so I invited him to my house, and well things escalated from there but we're not dating" Nishinoya explains and asahi nodded sheepishly. "Ok, but what things were y'all doing" daichi crosses his arms. Asahi got red "well we..... umm... we... y'know.." he struggled saying anything.

"We-" Nishinoya was gonna continue for Asahi but was cut off by a door slamming open. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at who slammed open the door, to their surprise it was a very serious looking Hinata. Hinata walked in looking down, his hair covering his eyes, and his hands balled up by his side. Coach ukai looked up from his conversation with takeda sensei "Oi, carrot top, be carful" To which Hinata didn't responde too. "Uhh, anyways. I was just informed that Hinata won't be at school or at practice today, but we'll See him tomorrow, right ginger?"

"No" Hinata bluntly said "what?" Ukai Asked in confusion. He thought it was only for today. "No, I won't come tomorrow either. I'll see y'all when we come back from break" Hinata said with a hint of venom in his voice. You could tell that he was angry. The whole gym was silent, no one knew what to say or do. Hinata was always a ball of sunshine that was always happy. Hinata being mad without being in a fight with Kageyama was new. "Oi dumbass" Kageyama grabbed hinatas attention. He made sure that Hinata was looking before speaking again "spike this" he tossed the ball infront of the net just like hinatas jump, it was high. 

Hinata scoffed and ran full speed, then jumped. He let out a angry yell before spiking it down. With all his strength, he hit the ball. The ball slammed down at the very corner of the court. the gym was so silent that you could hear the sound of the ball making contact with the ground. The ball looked like it was about to pop with the impact. Everybody looked at each other, then at Hinata, then at the corner where the ball hit. Without a single word Hinata left, leaving everyone confused or scared.

"That could have ripped someone's arms off, if someone tried to receive or block that" yachis scared voice echoed through the gym, kiyoko just put a hand on yachis shoulder to calm down, but she too was a bit frightened at the suddenly act. "Ok... Kageyama go get the ball" daichi told him. "Where did it go" Kageyama asked looking for it "t-the ball bounce off the floor hard and landed on the second floor" yachi pointed to the upper part of the gym. Everyone looked up and sure enough spotted the ball on the second floor. "I'll go get it now" Kageyamas voice was filled with uncertainty.

"What the hell was that!!" Tanaka yelled breaking the silence of the gym. "That was unexpected" Sugawara slowly said "who got him mad or what made him mad?" ennoshita asked no one in particular. "Hey specks what where you talking to him about?" He looked at takeda. "N-nothing, I just reminded him of school next week" takeda said truthfully. "Then what got him mad?" Kinoshita was confused by hinatas actions towards nothing. "Could it be that what got him mad was the reason he's not coming to school today" narita looked at takeda.

"I-I don't know. He said it was something due to family that he's not coming to school today" takeda scratch the back of his head. "Well what ever it is, it's not my problem" tsukkishima Walked off with yamaguchi. "Well, we can worry about it another day. We still have half an hour left of practice, let's get to work." Ukai clapped his hands, watching everyone start practicing Serves.
