Chapter twenty five (part two)

As practice continued, hinata looked over at natsu, only to find her sitting on ukais lap, talking to takeda. Ukai was looking down at her with adoring eyes and a wide smile. In hinata's eyes, they looked like a married couple with their daughter.

Ukai caught hinata starting and shrugged with a smile, obviously enjoying natsu's company. Hinata looked at natsu and natsu looked back.

Natsu letter signed Hinata something, almost bringing him to tears.

He realized that natsu never really remembered their dad, she just knew that she hated him. Natsu knew being around their dad was danger.

Hinata was surprised that natsu remembered their sign language. It was only used so that their dad couldn't understand what the conversation was about.

Before turning back to practice, he saw natsu lay her head on ukais chest, making the older couple 'aww' at her.

"Oi Boke, pay attention before you get hit in the head"  kageyama yelled at hinata, seeing that he wasn't paying attention.

"Right, sorry kageyama" hinata respectfully said, getting back on track. Shock was an understatement, some of Hinata's teammates wondered if he hit his head and forgot who he was.

In all honesty, some of them didn't mind, unlike tanaka and nishinoya. They wanted their chaotic ball of sunshine back, they wanted to play around and goof off with him again.

While practicing, tsukishima wanted to tease the orange haired kid for a bit. Taking advantage that Yamaguchi was in the bathroom and hinata was alone, he walked up to the working tangerine.

"Oi, did you hit your head or something shrimp?" Tsukishima laughed. Hinata wanted to be honest and that is exactly what he did.

Hinata slightly smiled and shook his head. "No, but my little sister is here and I'm way different at home than I am here. So, instead of confusing her, i rather confused yall"

" So you're telling me that you're just as calm and collected at home as you are now" tsukishima furrowed his eyebrows.

" i- yea, i'm the oldest and only son, i have to take care of my mom and sister and help pay the bills" hinata stopped everything that he was doing, he figured that tsukishima was gonna ask a bunch of questions, and he wasn't wrong.

"Wow" Tsukishima was actually taken back, for the first time in a while, actually he was speechless.

How could this annoying, loud, orange, small, shrimp be this calm and actually have responsibilities that he completes. Someone who's so immature and  Oblivious at school, is actually somebody responsible and mature at home. Tsukishima couldn't actually believe something that was right in front of his eyes, then it hit.

'He has a job and he pays bills'.

"wait, you have a job?" tsukishima asked. "Mmhmm, i do" hinata nodded.

"What job?" He tested hinata.

Without skipping a beat, he said " i rather not say"

"It can't be anything risky, your underage. A waiter?" tsukishima guessed.

Hinata grimace a bit "uhh you can say that, i guess"

"Whatever" tsukishima rolled his eyes giving up.

"hey, can i ask you something?" for the first time, tsukishima seemed respectful towards hinata.

" if i still like you or why do i act like a fool at school?" hinata predicted tsukishima's question.
