Chapter twenty four

It was morning, and surprisingly Hinata got up early today, so today he's actually having breakfast at the table.

"Hey honey, do you have afternoon practice today?" Hinata's mother asked.

"Yea i do, why, what's wrong?" hinata tilted his head to the side while looking at his mom.

She sucked her teeth and sighed "I have work today and I can't bring natsu, I need you to come home early today" his mom looked at him with an apologetic look.

Hinata sighed looking sad "ok i'll come home early" he said with a fake smile, not wanting to make his mom feel guilty, which did not work at all.

" im sorry baby, i'll make it up to you tomorrow" she hugged hinata tightly and rubbed his back, knowing that practice means the world to him.

Seeing her onii-chan sad, did not set well with natsu. " Mom, I'm a big girl, I can stay by myself now," Natsu stated with her hands on her hips.

Both hinata and his mom gave knowing side eyes glances, simultaneously they nodded and looked back at natsu. They were prepared for this moment.

" really?, what's the first thing you're gonna do when i leave?" her mom questioned her.

" lock the doors" natsu sassed.

"Ok, and what if someone knocks on the door?" hinata stepped in.

"Ill Ask: who is it" the child was determined and answered the question with pure confidence.

"What if they're not someone you know?" hinata asked with a small smirk on his face.

"I wont open it" Natsu simply stated.

" the windows aren't locked" her mom said while shaking her head.

" they got in, what will you do next" suddenly hinata turned into one of those game show host.

" ill grabbed onii-chan" she quickly said without even thinking about it.

" but he's not with you" her mom stated, squinting her eyes and raised her hid looking down with her eyes, as if to test her..

" i- umm i'll uhh" she stumbled with her words, quickly thinking of something to say. "Then ill-"

"Nope too late" Hinata picked her up bridal style, cutting off her sentence. "You're kidnapped" he said while running to the living room with her in his arms. He reached the couch and tossed her, he then proceeded to tickle her, making her laugh and scream 'i'm going to pee myself onii-chan'.

Hinata finally stopped, letting natsu catch her breath. "You see natsu, you can't stay here by yourself" hinata rubbed her head.

"Hpmh, but i want you to go to practice" natsu whined. " I know, I do too but i can't." he sighed, rubbing her head more.

Then, it struck him, a brilliant idea that can solve all their problems. " mom what time do you leave for work today"

" about the same time you start after noon practice, why?" she didn't know what her son was insinuating.

Hinat smirked in complete success  "well, i was wondering if you can drop her off at practice. It's killing two birds with one stone, she's being taken care of, while I practice and you work. Technically that's three birds with one stone" he made a 'mind blown' expression with his hands.
