Chapter Sixteen

Trio of Blue Pegasus x Reader: Eve part 1

Reader's POV

It's been only a week since Acnologia attack Tenrou island. I still couldn't get over the fact that, he had the nerve to throw me like a rag doll. "I guess I was a treat to him after all." I chuckled to myself. The other guild mates are searching for Tenrou island. But I know it would be impossible to find it, at the moment.

As of this moment, I'm on mission with blue pegasus to rid the continent of dark guilds. Ren, Eve and Hibiki are all trying to cheer me up. And yet, getting only last nerve. I punched Hibki just to get him off my back. "For the last time, I am not a play mate!" Sometimes I really wished they would stop this "cool guy" act.

Eve said nothing nor did Ren. "Sorry." The only word Hibiki said. I sighed and went on ahead. I sensed the dark guild wasn't too far but something wasn't right. I stopped in my tracks to feel the energy.

Eve and Ren also stopped, wondering what the I was doing. Hibiki used this time to recheck the map if we were close to the dark guilds hideout. "According to the map, the hideout should be passed those hills." He said. They tried to move forward but I raised my hands up. "It's too easy." I said.

"What do you mean?" Eve asked. "Why would a dark guild be easy to track down and easy to get to?" They shrugged. "Exactly. It's too simple. Unless there's a trap waiting to be sprung." I said. Through it was hard for me to detect what kind of trap it is. Eve and Ren both looked around carefully for any clues.

Hibiki, on the other hand, hadn't listen to the warning. He walked right passed me, "There's nothing he-" I ran to him and grabbed his arm. "You big idiot. I told you it was too easy." Hibiki looked down then back to me. "Thats a long way down." He said. Eve and Ren came running back, only it was too late. I place one hand down to try and pull him up, just to fall in with Hibiki. He pulled me into his chest, "Brace yourself." He whispered.

"Hibiki! (Y/n)!" Someone called, though I didn't clearly see who.

Eve's POV

I heard a noise and turned around just to see (y/n) grabbing on to Hibiki. "Ren!" I called out as we both hurried to help them. Only it was too late. They both had fallen into the trap. I was at the edge of the tunnel and called out their names. "Eve, I don't think they can hear." Ren told me. I knew that by now, but it worries me. That's when we both heard voices. We immediately hid behind trees.

"Hey, someone messed with the trap!" It was only two men but we remained hidden to be safe. "Yea, seems like the maze is finally underway. Wonder who fell in." I clenched my fists as they laughed. "Let's get a search party down there and see." They had rushed off and disappeared from view. "Eve, let's get Ichiya. He'll know what to do."

I nod only since it was the only thing we could do at the moment. It worried me more that she was in danger as well as Hibiki. I respect them both and I feel very fond of (y/n). A faint blush rose on my cheeks. Why the heck am I blushing for? I shook my head away from anymore thoughts.

Ren was able to contact Ichiya through lacrima crystal. I, on the other hand, went to find the exist or entrance to that maze below. "Ren, I think I found the end of the tunnels." Within minutes, Ichiya was here with Christina. And as usual, he gracefully jumps off and lands on his head. Neither of us said a word, unless it was about Hibiki and (y/n).

Ren and I were on Christina when Ichiya decided to use his "secret" parfume. Moments after (y/n) came out with Hibiki on her back. Pain rose in my chest with unknown reasons. "(Y/n)!" I called to her as Ren threw the latter. She grabbed on and we pulled them up.

"What happened?" Ichiya asked before I could. "Hibiki got wounded when we fell and managed to not tell anyone of his fever." She sounded annoyed on that last part. I showed her where to lay him at and she worked on the healing magic to seal his wounds. I left her be while she forced.

Sure, it was hard to see her with Hibiki, maybe closer than that... "No...no negotiable thoughts. She is a dear friend and is helping Hibiki." If only I could convince my heart on that.

After we located the guild, I went back to check on (y/n) and Hibiki. "(Y/n), we are almost at-" I stopped. She was fast asleep, next to the bedside. I smiled a little then turned to walk back. "Exhausted yourself just to heal him." I spoke in a hush voice.

"What was that?" I jumped a bit when (y/n) came out. "Nothing." I rushed back to the deck. Man, she has good hearing. I thought. "Are we almost at the dark guild?" She asked. I turned to her, smiling. "We are about to fire." But before I could, she stopped me. "I got this covered. They've gone a pissed off a dragon." She got outside and transformed to a...DRAGON!

I watched her as she eliminated the entire guild with one spell. I was in amazement when she got back, and of course knocking out Ichiya cold. Hibiki came out, but was silent. I could tell he was scared and she looked hurt by his reaction. "(Y/n), is everything okay?"

"Yea. It's just...." She turned away. "Come on, you can tell me. I'm a pretty good listener." She nods. We sat down as she began to talk how most people were afraid of her cause of her half-dragon DNA. But she told me that it wasn't cause she was born that way. "My mother, the moon dragon, had to fuse herself with me in order to protect me." She held her hand close to her heart. I placed my hand on her knee. "I know how you must feel, but trust me when I say, Hibiki will come around and see that you are still the same person we've all come to know and respect."

(Y/n) threw her arms around me. "Thank you, Eve." I hugged her back. "You're welcome." I felt relieved somehow and I still don't know why.
