Fairytail x Reader

Chapter One

The year is x784. The town of Magnola is bustling and peaceful. Within the center of the town is the guild hall of Fairy tail, where our story will begin.

"That went well, don't you think Lucy?" A familiar voice called out to the blonde.

"Aye, sir. But you may have gone a bit overboard this time." A cute voice said.

"I have to agree with Happy. You practical destroyed the entire town." Lucy said.

"Aw, come on. We got the job done, didn't we?"

"Yea, that we did. But we lost of our jewel to repair their city! So again I have no money to pay this month's rent!" Lucy sighed. She looked over to Natsu, who was ways away from where she stood. "Natsu! Are you even listening?" She ran back to him. "Hey! Hello?"

Natsu turned her head to show her where he was looking. She spotted you, browsing the market. "Okay, it's a girl. Big deal."

"No, it's not it. Her scent...it's like a dragon's." He said. You look up to spot the fire dragon. You freaked and ran away from the market street. Natsu, having many questions, chases you. You knew it was a bad sign that you came into close range of a dragon slayer. You could barely think of a way to escape without using magic or you wings. But the fire dragon was faster than you thought.

"Quit running. I'm not going to hurt you." The slayer spoke.

You looked away from him. Words were in your head, but couldn't come out of your voice.

"I said, what's your name?"

"Natsu Dragneel, would you kindly move and let me pass?" You spoke, at last. But now you regret what you just said.

"Huh? You know me?" Natsu said, not sure to be shocked or thrilled.

"Hey! Get back here girly!" A shopkeeper shouted.

You turned your head, freaked again. You once again done it. Took a single item and not pay. You turned back to Natsu and jumped over him and bolted passed the boundary.

The shopkeeper caught up and spotted Natsu. "Hey, you see that girl?"

"Yea, she wanted to give this to you, but she had something errant to get to." He handed the shopkeeper money for the food you took. The shopkeeper smiled. "Oh. Well, okay. But if you see her again, give this to her. She left it on my counter." The man handed Natsu a scarf, that has the same material and pattern as his own, but has star and moon charms on the ends.

"I will." He folded it and held it close. "I'm sure we'll meet again."

Lucy finally caught up with Happy. "Hey, don't just go running off like that again. Hey, where'd that girl go?"

"Don't worry about that Lucy. Let's go back to the guild. I'm starving."

"Aye, I could use a yummy fish." Happy said.

"Is food all you two think about? What about me and my rent! Hey I'm talking to you two."

-the next day-

As Natsu and the others gathered together, Makarov, is about to make an announcement. "Alright everyone listen. I would like to introduce you all to an old guild member back to the guild. Her name is (y/n) (y/l/n). Come meet everyone." You step out of the shadows to see everyone.

Everyone was thrilled to meet you. And they begin to question of why you were called an "old" guild member.

"Let me explain." You spoke. "I was a member before. Before Makarov became guild master. But I left to explore the world and endless wonders. But then things got harder for me and I decided to return to my home." You bow before everyone. "I'm very glad to meet you all."

Natsu tried to walk over to you but everyone else was crowding you. You were able to sneak away and bump into Natsu. "Here."

Your eyes widened. "Where did you find that?" You take the scarf from his hand.

"You left it at the shop you were at." He said, smiling. You smiled back. "Thank you. This means a lot to me. I can never part from it."

Natsu nods in agreement, holding his own. You both find a table and began to talk. Gray joined in along with Lucy, Erza, and Happy. You told them a little about yourself, but kept one, very important, detail out. You were a dragon hybrid. You couldn't tell them. Not one of them. You felt eyes on you the entire time you spoke. Yours eyes caught another blonde's. A male. You sensed he, too, is a dragon slayer but second generation. Could he know? No. It's impossible for him to know what I am. You thought. Anything it possible. You could hear the moon say.

What an extraordinary encounter. Natsu and (y/n) has finally met. What sort of adventures await the members of Fairy tail. But more importantly, what lurks within the shadows?
