Chapter Seven

Natsu x Reader part one

Natsu's pov

-16 October x784-

Ugh! It's been almost a week since (y/n) returned to the guild. Sure I met her in town, but one thing still bothers me. I just can't put my finger on it. Thoughts ran through my head like wild fire. I was in town to find some food for me and Happy.

As I came to the usual spot where I shop, I can across a familiar face. "Hey, (y/n). What are you up to?" I asked her.

"Huh...? Oh, Natsu. I'm just looking for something." She said. Her eyes looked like stars in the night sky. Strange, I never noticed before.

"Is it another charm to replace the one missing?" I asked when I saw her scarf.

She pulled the end close to her. She didn't say a word, but I could tell she was upset about it. "Hey, come on. I know where to find one." I spoke, trying to cheer her up.

"Really? You'll help me." She said. I wiped her eyes and smiled. "Of course. We are friends after all." She chuckled at the goofy smile I gave her.

-a hour later-

(Y/n) and I reached the shop. I asked her to wait outside. She sat down on the chair by the door. I walked into the shore. "Welcome. Oh Natsu. What brings you here today?"

"I'm looking for a charm. A moon charm to be exact. Do you happen to have one?" I told the shopkeeper.

"Yes and no. I have the charm, I just need to craft it. Would you like to help?" The shopkeeper said.

"I can't turn down a request. I will be glad to help." I said. I followed him to the back room where he makes all his charms and carvings.

"My chimney has caved in on itself and if anything is removed, the entire wall could collapse." He spoke. "What I would like for you to do is make a little fire."

"Sure thing." I lifted my hand and it was covered in fire. I was able to make it smaller for the shopkeeper. "That's perfect. Keep it like that for a little while." He said.

About ten minutes passed and the charm was finished. "Here you go Natsu." He handed me the charm.

"Thanks a lot." I told him. He said the charm was free of charge since I helped him out. I waved to him and hand led the charm to (y/n).

"This is perfect. Thank you Natsu!" She jumped on me and gave me a hug. I felt heat rush to my cheeks. "You're welcome." I hugged her back. "Let's get back to the guild. It's getting late."

She nods and we both walked off towards the guild hall.

The shopkeeper walked out. "Nothing brings my heart joy then young love. I'm glad for Natsu." He chuckled before going back inside.
