i run in my room.
i put in some mascara, and lipgloss. i open my closet and look through my options. wait is this a casual date or fancy date. who am i kidding, i'm a pouge. there's no such thing as fancy.
i put on a button up jean skirt and a black tube top with a white bralette, colorful bracelets and a necklace, with some white tennis shoes. i spray a gallon of perfume and run back downstairs.
"mom what's the time?" i say rushed.
"honey, it's only 6." she says running her fingers through my hair.
"do you know how to make caramel by any chance?" i ask.

"so now you stir the sugar in until it dissolves"
"but that's gonna take forever" i complain.
"do you wanna make this boy happy or not?"
"fine"
i stir the sugar in the pot. i cant believe i'm going on a date with jj maybanks, the coolest boy i know. he's gonna know who my mom is. that's so scary.

"hey jade, he's here!!" my mom yells from the entrance. oh my god he's here. i hear the conversation from downstairs.
"i'm alyssa!! are you're jj?"
"i am jj indeed. you have a beautiful home"
"aw thank you. i love your hair, it's so fluffy" she pats it.
"thanks its all natural" he says as they laugh.
"hey are you okay? the bruise on your eye"
"yeah totally, just my dad". i can tell that she's frowning
"hey i never do this but-" i hear keys jingle. "here's a key to our house. come over whenever you need. it's a safe place for you."
"thank you, alyssa."
i run down the stairs and jump in jjs arms. "oh hey" he says wrapping his arms around me. i release the hug and put my hands on my hips "hey blondie" i say pretending to be cool. my mom laughs at me, "you two have fun" she says and walks to the kitchen.
we walk to the restaurant, skipping and holding hands and making jokes.
we arrive at the restaurant. we have our dinner and laugh the whole time. we mess with each other and decide to get out of there and walk to the boardwalk.
"wow, jj maybanks has a joyful side to him?"
"wow, jade monarch has a baddie side to her?"
"why am i a baddie?"
"because you're wearing black". we both laugh.
we arrive at the boardwalk. it's a popular one. there's a ferris wheel, ice cream shops and little tourist shops. i cant lie, it's a pretty attractive place.
"cmon jade lets get some yummy ice cream"
"yummy ice cream? alright than"
we run up to the ice cream counter and order. i get vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, and he gets cookie dough and sprinkles. we eat our ice cream walking on the boardwalk.
"hey caramel, lets ride the ferris wheel"
"omg yay. jj you're a lot more fun than i thought you would be"
"i don't know how i should take that but i'll take it as a good thing." he says as i laugh.
we get put in a ferris wheel boxy thing and he sits across me. the lights so look good, reflecting in his gorgeous eyes. the way he looks at me. i smile at him.
"you're one stunning man".
"and you're one very gorgeous girl."
i lean in to his chest. we meet in the middle of the cart. i look up at him. he smirks and than kisses me, passionately. everything's in slow motion. i feel the electric pump through my veins. i can feel the musics beat drop and my passion for him grow. he breaks the kiss and i look at him again. "jj, you're the only one i want."

i run to my bed and get comfortable. i kissed jj maybanks. that was my first kiss. i cant believe what happened. i fall asleep thinking about how beautiful he is.

i wake up. i check my watch. 4:12am. i look up and see a figure in my doorway. i'm gonna get murdered. i grab a knife from my drawer. "jade don't stab me please. it's me jj."i hear him say with a muffled voice. i put the knife back in the drawer, and get up and walk over to him. i see his eyes from the lights outside. tears flow from them. "jj what's wrong?" i ask whispering.
"my dad. i cant take him anymore. i almost killed him" he cries into my shoulder, grasping onto my body.
i let him cry into me. "sit down." i say patting the bed next to me. he sits next to me and cries into me more. "it's okay, jj". he falls asleep in my arms.
