Jungkook's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.
As I tried to reach it, I fell on the floor. I forgot that I fell asleep on the couch.
"Yes Kwan, what is it?" I said as I let out a huge yawn.
"Sir, I called to inform you that your meetings today have been canceled just like you ordered." He said.
I got super excited but I contained myself and said "Okay Kwan, call me if there's anything else. Thank you."

I rushed to the bedroom to wake Y/N up.
I stopped in my tracks when I saw the bed was empty. I checked the bathroom, she wasn't there either.
Where did she go?
I ran to find my phone and saw a text notification from Y/N.

I had to rush to work early. Thank you for the gift. I loved it. x

As I walked over to the kitchen, I couldn't help worry that she was mad at me.
Of course, she would be, why won't she? I missed an important dinner celebrating a relationship milestone.
Luckily I have the day off today, I will make it up to her!
I decided to recreate yesterday's dinner but this time, it will be her favorite flowers, food, wine, and dessert.

After taking a shower and having some breakfast, I decided to go to the flower shop.
An old man was talking to the florist as she wrapped the flowers he chose for his wife.
"How long have you been married?" I asked him.
"40 years." The man smiled as he spoke.
"Wow, I haven't even been on this earth that long." The florist said, making me and the old man laugh.
"I've been giving her a bouquet every month on the date of our anniversary. It's like a "monthsary". He explained.
"Wow, that is amazing sir." I said, smiling at the thought of a beautiful everlasting marriage.
"Thanks, son." He smiled back.
"You here to get flowers for your woman?" He asked me.
"Yes, I had an important meeting which led to me missing our anniversary celebration last night. So I'm trying to make up for that." I rambled, forgetting I was standing in a flower shop talking to a stranger.
"Don't feel guilty, you're making up for it. But can I give you a little advice, son?" He asked.
"Oh sure." I nodded.
"Never stop doing the little things for each other." He said as he patted my back.
"Thank you, sir." I said. He smiled at me and left.

I walked into the house, carefully carrying the flowers and the ingredients required for making dinner which I picked up on my way home.

The plan was simple, first I will decorate and then cook and then finally get ready for an amazing evening.
I started decorating the dining table exactly the way Y/N had decorated the previous night, with flowers and candles.
As soon I was done with it, I put on an apron and began to cook dinner.
I decided to make Alfredo Pasta. The same dish we had on our first date.
I patted myself on the back for being so thoughtful.
The old man's words still lingered in my head as I cooked.

After the sauce was ready, I cooked the pasta until it was al dente and then combined it with the sauce.

The time was 5:30 pm. I decided to get ready.
After taking a shower, I put on a crisp dark blue shirt with black trousers and applied my cologne.
I smirked as I thought of the things I planned that were sure to make Y/N swoon.

The bell rang.
I excitedly rushed to the door carrying the bouquet of red roses.
I took a deep breath and opened the door.
There she stood, the love of my life.
I pulled her into a hug as soon as she walked in.
"I'm so so so sorry babe" I said, holding her tight.

Y/N's P.O.V

"Ba-be c-can't breathe" I said and he loosened his grip.
I pulled back and looked into his beautiful eyes.
"For you" He said handing me a bouquet of red roses.
He flashed his bunny smile which instantly made me go weak in the knees.
"It's okay Jungkook, I forgive you. We'll have many more anniversaries to celebrate in the future." I said, making him blush.
"Well, we're celebrating tonight." He said and pointed at the dining table.
"What? When? How did you-?" I asked, totally surprised.
"Shh, relax. I took the day off. I wanted to make it up to you." He said as he caressed my cheek.
We walked over to the dining table. He pulled out a chair for me.
"Thank you." I whispered, smiling from ear to ear.
He went into the kitchen and brought a steaming hot bowl of Alfredo Pasta. Just like our first date. He's such a romantic, I thought.
He served us both and filled our glasses with wine and finally sat next to me.
"This is wonderful Jungkook." I said, my eyes beaming with happiness and love.
He raised his glass and so did I.
"To us" We clinked the glasses and took a sip of my favorite wine.
"This is beautifully made," I said as I devoured the pasta.
"Phew I'm relieved! There's so much pressure when cooking for a food critic." He winked. I giggled.

After we were finished eating, we sat on the couch.
"So since the meal was amazing, how about you kiss the cook?" Jungkook whispered in my ear.
I giggled and pulled him in for a passionate kiss.
"Happy Anniversary baby." He said after pulling away.
"Happy Anniversary Jungkook." I said and got up from the couch.
"Where are you going Y/N?" He asked, confused.
I walked into the bedroom and inside the closet to get his gift.
I grabbed the box and walked outside.
"Here's your gift." I said as I sat next to him.
He unwrapped the gift quickly and he flashed a beautiful smile when he realized what it was.

An everose gold Rolex watch with a brown tobacco leather strap.

"Wow I'm speechless babe, I'm so lucky to have you!" He said as he hugged me tightly.
"I'm so glad you like it. I love you Jungkook." I said and pecked his lips.
"I love you Y/N, I love you so much." He said and started kissing me passionately.
We made out on the couch for a few minutes and as much as we wanted to have sex, we both were perfectly happy cuddling on the couch and talking.
