CHAPTER FOURTY-FIVE

SOFIA feels like her face have become permanently red.

She feels so embarrassed whenever she saw someone inside the castle even though they are not saying anything. She could tell based on their expressions, though. How couldn't she noticed, they are always sniffing the air, for goodness sake!

Now that she and Zafrix have finally mated, her scent have changed. His scent mixed with hers have become even stronger. And she is very much sure that they had noticed.

Dahil doon ay madalas na nananatili siyang malayo sa mga ito. Baka kasi bigla siyang tanungin nang tungkol doon ay hindi siya makasagot at lalo lamang makaramdam ng hiya. Nahihiya rin siya sa iisipin ng mga magulang. Will they talk to her about it? Is she too young to do that kind of thing?

One time, Zafrix teased her about it. "I never knew that you are so innocent. It looks so natural that I couldn't help but tease you, love." He would say. And then, they will end up making love again and her body would soon respond to him.

"Lady Sofia," Narinig niyang tawag ni Aileen sa kaniya. Nakatambay siya sa loob ng kusina at nakatitig lamang sa mga cupboard nang tawagin siya nito. Doon niya naisipang magtago dahil ayaw niyang makaharap ang kahit sino. It's been three days since the first time that they mated. But she still couldn't face everyone without feeling embarrassed. Especially her twin. He'll definitely feel it through their bond that something is up.

"Y-Yes?"

"You okay?" taka nitong tanong.

"Uh-huh," mabilis niyang sagot. Tumikhim siya. "Do you need something?"

Lalo itong nagtaka sa ikinikilos niya. Gusto na tuloy niyang batukan ang sarili. Just act casually Sofia! She scolded herself.

"No, but you are needed somewhere."

"Saan?"

"King Rex and Billius are looking for you."

"Oh."

"Are you sure you're okay?"

She smiled nervously before nodding her head. Nagmamadali siyang umalis doon at nagtungo na sa opisina ni Zafrix. Tahimik naman na sumunod lamang sa kaniya si Aileen na siyang nagtataka sa ikinikilos niya.

She twiddled with her fingers and walked silently.

As soon as she gets nearer to Zafrix's office, she felt nervous. Ni hindi niya alam kung bakit.

"Ayos ka lang ba talaga, lady Sofia?" muling tanong ni Aileen.

Muntik pa siyang mapatalon sa gulat. "I'm fine," paniniguro niya.

She knocked on the door of Zafrix's office before entering. Agad na nagtama ang tingin nila ni Zafrix. Her face flushed and pulled her eyes away before approaching the two.

"What is it?" tanong niya sa mga ito.

"Pinag-uusapan lamang namin ni Billius ang tungkol sa nakalap naming impormasyon mula kay Vein Ruiz. At mukhang tama nga ang hinala namin."

Nagtaas siya ng tingin.

"Vein had signed a deal with the greater foe."

Nanlalaki ang mga mata niya. Tungkol ba ito sa "demons" at "prophecy" na narinig niyang nabanggit nito at ni Vein Ruiz?

"You are saying that someone else is behind all of this?" Gulat niyang tanong at hinarap si Billius na siyang nakatayo sa gilid ng lamesa ni Zafrix. "Na hindi lang si Vein ang may kagagawan ng lahat?"

"Majority of the plan came from him. Desidido talaga siyang ubusin lahat ng mga taong lobo. But, there are other forces out there who wants to take us down and they are supporting Vein."
